I'm thinking about retirement and would love to move to Spain and buy property, but my wife has a suggestion that it would be better to stay at the hotel first for a couple of weeks or months. Get your head around and see if you like the area, and then look for properties to buy.
@pavolkocis7456 Thanks for the comment Pavol. Your wife has an excellent idea, definitely better to rent for a couple of weeks rather than buy a property and later find out you don't like the area. Maybe it would be even better to rent an Airbnb from locals. In hotel you will always be a tourist, rent from the locals and speak to them about the area, cost, pros and cons etc, they may even know someone who is selling property. Sending Warm wishes to your wife and Good Luck with the move to both of You!
I am a man just like you and would like to just buy. But the suggestion your wife made I heard before and is probably wiser. Maybe you like the area but you may find out you want to be closer to the airport, closer to a shop or beach (because it takes longer to get there than you think) or just a few kilometers in a different direction simply because you like it more there. Most of those things you will only find out by being there.
I heard you mention you preferred Italy. Can you do this in Italy? If so would you do a video like this on Italy. I really enjoyed this, very eye opening. Thank you.
One thing I would like to see mentioned for the properties on any video is parking. Is parking available on the plot, if not show where it is in relation to the property 👍 The other problem is the 90 day rule stopping a lot of people living in Spain and adding to the countries economy. Great video though 👍❤️
@croc8998 Good point with the parking, I will keep it in mind for future videos. I hope the Spanish government will come up with some alternative for the Brits, rather than the 90/180 rule or the Golden visa.
The first question one should ask about any of these types of properties, is about water supply / efficiency / availability / pressure, etc. All other questions come later.
WOW 😍 absolutely adorable but only the house you introduced at the beginning of your video! But what about security after the mass invasion also in Spain?? 😢
When the foreigner feels safe and confident that there as no fraud ,safety ,ensuring the right of the buyer and protecting them than there will be a wide process of buying and selling ,and the economy and real estate investment move from
A free lunch with a few bottles of good red wine makes most northerners feel ‘safe’ …. 😂 enough to sign the dotted line. Oldest trick in the Costa book. It might be still be legit. Olé💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻
@rolloklein4742 Except the first property which has been taken off the market (probably sold) the others are still available. Links to all properties are in the vide description, feel free to check them out.
@stevecandelaria6780 Steve, here is the link to the website, feel free to contact the agent directly. www.idealista.com/en/inmueble/105851305/ . I also put links to all properties in the video description. Good luck!
Mi esposo y yo queremos comprar una casa como las que tú muestras en el vídeo, nosotros estamos pensionados con 1800 dólares al mes ,será que si compramos la casa no hay problemas para gestionar la residencia permanente en España,gracias
Hi Sami, I put links to all properties in the video description. It will take you to the real estate website, there are contact details of the sellers/agents, you can contact them directly. good luck.
The only problem how much Property Tax for each year ,and infrastructure such as hospitals .Market ,and education for families and elderly ,as well as the ease of obtaining permanent residence easily on the internet without the need of a lawyer ,and then there is not fraud in buyer the property means the money is placed in a bank dedicated to the property as a commercial , that is help the forging buyer a deepens the feeling if trust for foreigners
@saadalazzawi3038 Those are aspects you would have to deal with in any country. Annual tax is 0.4%-1.10% of the cadastral value of the property and Spain is one of the top ten countries in the world for having excellent infrastructures as well as healthcare. If you are afraid of fraud then maybe it is better to get a notary for peace of mind.
@MsLudam If you had listened to what I said, you’d know why! I clearly mentioned owning a house without spending half a million or making updates to a cheap property. This house didn’t just fall from the sky-someone bought an old house, fixed it up, and sold it for whatever price they set. And that’s the whole point of the video. I hope it makes sense to you now.
I would live in anyone of them but brexit stops us from being there..the whole off lockdown it kept me going too think we would mobe out there but now we cant im so so vutted
@deannepayne9216 Oh, I totally feel your disappointment! Brexit really messed things up for so many people-I left the UK because of it too. But don’t give up! There are still ways to make it work, like checking out longer-stay visas or other options if you’re keen. Don’t stop dreaming-you never know what could happen! 😊
To expensive for houses in the midlle of no where, far away from the sea and difficult acess to infrastrutures like medical asistence, schools and food supply.
The second one is my favorite! I love it!!😍
Beautiful. The Spanish people are also wonderful.
@Rick-g9u 💯% agree!

Try renting for a year, that will give you a small insight as to the area
Now I would not mind moving to spain. I am going to keep watching your channel.
Me too..
@Mythoughtonpoliticaltopics Thank you, I am happy you like it.
My heart is beating so hard, and I can barely breathe because these properties are SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

No! The best property was VELEZ DE BENAUDALLA
@littlecupcakespuppies Hard decision, isn't 😂
Donde puedo ver la primera casa? la del inicio del video, está hermosa!
Very nice houses. .... my Favorit is house 3😊
@jurgenmarth3795 That's great, it is my favourite too!
The first question one should ask about any of these types of properties, is about water supply / efficiency / availability / pressure, etc. All other questions come later.
Absolutely correct!
Yeah, only the most important pieces of information were kept hidden. There is reason why these houses are so cheap.
@@rivoendre agreed - like most have views of the world's largest slave plantation in almeria - all along this coast.

@hopeisback9171 Thanks! 😄 I understand your concern. Security could be an issue in some areas, but many places are still safe.
Very nice 👌

Vaya desconfianza, esto será normal en su país. España es un país muy seguro.
Why you put the house for 1 million euros in intro of your video of the country houses under 80 K euros. I would call it a scam!

Italy
@ruswinterfel9888 Tough question but I think Italy is winning ❣
How much for the house in the intro?
I have asked the same question. That one is my most favorite. It does not seem that you have had an answer yet.😊😊
@robflange You have a good taste. It has been sold for over €1 million.

Sounds vulgar. Must be slavic or romanian.
