Why did I hear it was a Cat 4 jus earlier today and now a Cat 1? Very confusing. I'm not there so I don't know.
Hurricane strength rapidly declines after it makes landfall, without the warm water of the ocean to feed it.
It went from a 4 in the golf to 1 one once it was over land hurricanes lose power once they hit land
Cat 4 coming ashore, now the land slows it and weakens it. I'm still waiting in Marietta GA
