I'm not a huge comic reader and when I do, it's usually to read DC (mostly Batman and/or Nightwing runs). Some of the ones I've read and liked are: the "Court of Owls" run by Scott Snyder & Greg Capullo, Superman for All Season by Jeph Loeb & Tim Sale, for Batman art I recommend Batman: Hush (art by Jim Lee), I also really liked Nightwing's New 52 run in 2011 & his run as just "Grayson" super-spy, OH "Kingdom Come" by Mark Wade & Alex Ross is good too - Beautiful.
