Also, CLC aren't afraid to put in subtle references to the sexism and corruption in the kpop industry in their MV's. I this MV, Yujin (who is the visual of he group and therefore considered "prettiest" by Korean beauty standards and who is also, I think, the thinnest) is stopped from eating a strawberry, which she eats anyway. This is showing the ridiculous dieting they have in Kpop. And in Black Dress there is a scene of Eunbin pole dancing in front of the others, which I've seen interpreted as demonstrating the sexualisation of young idols, as at the time, Eunbin had only just turned 18 (?). This song is rebelling against that very industry they're part of and that's the beauty in the song. They know the industry's corrupt _because they're part of it_
It's a very intelligent lyric on the subject, which right there challenges preconceptions about kpop that it's all just silly pop music about love. "Innocent, sexy and cute, single words like that can’t possibly express who I am" addresses simplistic stereotyping. And I think it's simplistic to see it as hypocritical to wear all those things listed. Contradictory, maybe, but that's something good art can do. Life's like that. It made me very sad, when I was watching, I believe it was one of the earlier CLC Cheatkey episodes, (can't remember which exactly, seen to many things on them). They were still a group of 5, and Seunghee was still the leader. She said at one point in time, she went into the bathroom, turned on the water faucet real loud, and just began to cry. They had worked so hard for so long, and yet no one knew them or recognized them. Well, the only time these girls should cry, is tears of joy, when we bring them their first win. It made me very sad, when I was watching, I believe it was one of the earlier CLC Cheatkey episodes, (can't remember which exactly, seen to many things on them). They were still a group of 5, and Seunghee was still the leader. She said at one point in time, she went into the bathroom, turned on the water faucet real loud, and just began to cry. They had worked so hard for so long, and yet no one knew them or recognized them. Well, the only time these girls should cry, is tears of joy, when we bring them their first win. Lets keep fighting Cheshire, and show them that, we do know who they are, we do recognize them, and we do love them.

1996mm mm “No Oh Oh” is as underrated as the rest of their discography. I loved that song when it came out! The lyrics are dark and deep but the melody is fun and bright.
