The normal microphones catch the air sound, while the microphones in his hands catch the contact vibration. If you talk to them, no sounds, maybe only if you wanna scream so loud you accidentally touch it, but otherwise nope.
I don't know what they're used for, but they're really good for touchy/scratchy videos.

Used for guitar into an amp if your guitar doesn't have built in electronics, clip one on the end and works reasonably well

I am pretty sure these are some kind of clip contact microphones. I am not sure though. They are actual microphones. But he likes to confuse his listeners as to what is a mic and what is not. If you know his foam, wood or cardboard recorders: they're not mics. There are no mics inside.
no mics are contact microphones. they are not usual microphones. they catch vibrations so if i shout at them not much will be heard. and foam, wood and cardboard recorders. those are microphones lol
easyASMR what else are these microphones used for besides asmr.

I don't understand. What it mean "nomics"?
It means, those things doesn't detect sound waves like other mics, but detects through vibration occurred by touching it or any objects that is in contact with these nomics, kind of like when you put your head on table with one ear between ear and table, and then when you you tap the table, you hear loud thud sound.
