I agree with Ollie, when serving with a Shape HF radio unit, we had German and American soldiers, but they always made sure there were at least 3 Brit signal corps members in the shift. This was because we covered all aspects of a radio detachment, looking after our generators setting up our antennas, driving our own vets, operating in voice, teleprinters, morse. The other nationalities would have an individual for each of these options

Im ex KRR (Kings Royal Rifle Corp) know as the GreenJackets (Rifle Brigade, Oxford & Bucks Light Infantry and the KRR) 60 years ago formed originally in the colonies in 1756 of America as the Royal American Regiment who stayed loyal to the crown in the revolution.
They were superb marksmen who wore green and could shoot the spittle off a Turkey's beak at 200 yards ( so we told on training).
The American revolt of the late 1700's offered a bounty against the capture of or death of a Greenjacket so deadly as marksman they were.
Anyway my experience especially on Nato exercises were that the British and German troops always beat the Americans at war games and I can assure you the American Army does not do stealth you could hear them from miles away and they used 5 times more ordnance especially bullets than we ever did so well funded was the US Army whereas we would pinch their gear to use that really pissed them off.
We had to improvise and use our noddle they relied on technology and sheer amount of kit.

Just so you know RTU'd is "returned to unit", UKSF only come from the current military you can not join as a civilian like you can with the SEALs unless you join the SAS reserves first as they come from civilian just by the nature of being a reserve, so if you fail selection you are returned back to your original unit not back to civilian life. Also when they mention selection this is not a type of training it is literally a means of selecting those you want to start training. so any video you watch about selection for any UKSF is just talking about process of selecting those who will be trained as SF, not the training they do after selection as very little is known after that point.

The SBS are the UKs maritime special forces. Formed in 1940 before the SAS and was at the time an army unit.
They came under the control of the Royal Navy and traditionally accepted candidates from the Royal Marines. All UK special forces only take trained personnel.
The S.B.S and their army counterparts the SAS are open to all branches of the British military.
One of their many roles is maritime counter terrorism.

RTU = Return To Unit. i.e. Failed the Course & you go back to whence you came. Usually not asked back to retry. Unlike US Special Forces, if you quit, NEVER asked back to retry. May get asked back if you had to drop out because of injury.

SBS Can do everything the Sas can, and more, to clear this up. The same training except the sbs draw from the royal marines mainly who are the best britain has to offer, sbs can do everything an sas operator can do but an sas guy can't do everything an sbs operator can do.

So that team was what they considered a good team that was in or near london, they didn't pull them out a job in Libya. So like i said it could of been any team that was available and recommended for that operation, experience in that. Not all operators have conducted a hostage rescue outside of training. Although they are all capable. And no the Sas are not better at hostage rescue. They are trained exactly the same in that regard, only difference with that seige is they fast roped down i believe if memory serves, but sbs can do that.

Mate, you were driving me nuts pausing that, rtu, returned to unit. I watched your other video on sbs selection, before this, so you put the cart ahead of the horse.....haha. But maybe ready up before making these, take you 20mins to read up, get up to speed a bit, because you literally no absolutely nothing, it's frustrating, painful watching this. I am biased being a former royal marine, look, navy seals cant tie sbs shoelaces. You have numbers, money, kit, but that's about it. Your delta is ok, everyone in the US military is sf. I would put devgru, delta as tier 2, not 1. When shft you want a team of sbs boys coming through the door to rescue you, not a bunch of trigger happy marsoc, seals, infact they tend to just hit everything from the air.

Return To Unit, are 3 of the worst letters you can hear when you have worked yourfuckingarse off. OO simply meant that the British are trained in a multitude of things & not One man One job, a section can lose 2 men & still complete the mission.
When he talks about carrying the canue don't forget they have Full Pack as well, they will have 70lb's each at that point, & those 9 miles are only a part of that, these fukrs have to be tough.
I tried out for them on one occasion & I was incredibly fit & didn't know when to give up, but I picked up an injury & finished after the 41, one guy went on to finish with 2 broken bones, in that environment, under those conditions any injury is massive, I would have tried again out of bloody mindedness but £5,000 a week took me in a different direction, I chose a life of reward & kudos to a life underfire & annonimoty, my ultimate goal when I joined the Royal Marines was to become the best I could be, then move on to military contracting & personal & corporate security, I had lost to many mates to enemy fire & the monsters of their own mind.

Is it not true that every nation thinks it has the best fighting force in the world ? If I was Polish I`d think the Polish Army is the best in the world. If I was Italian I`d think the Italians had the best Airforce in the world and the finest cars in the world. If I was German I`d think I`d be in a position to manufacture the most efficient balistics in the world. If I were Poruguese I`d have the best ships in the world and have to put up with Dutch protestations. If I was American I`d think I`d have the best Army, Airforce and Navy in the world. In fact, the best of everything in the world.
But I am none of these. I am English. And that`s that !
All of this `best in the world` to me is water off a duck`s back.

Hey man, I took a few minutes this morning, as I was trying to keep my eyes open at 6:30am, to look at some of your videos. Great stuff man! How long have you been playing around with photography? When I started the channel I ended up buying a couple of GoPros (7 and 8pro) and a Canon Rebel T100. The Canon was like $400 at the time and was a great camera for me to learn the basics. I then bought a 50mm lens which is amazing for portraits and a very low aperture for a creamy and blurry background. As a matter of fact, the biggest reason that I have never been able to put out a lot of content like many other reactors is because I will get hung up on the lighting or the settings of the camera lol. Ill spend 2 hours setting up the camera and lighting just to do a couple of 5 minute reactions. When some people just use their phone, sit in their car, hit record and react and end up getting huge numbers. So Idk why I typed all of that lol, I am sorry, I just wanted to say that your doing great work and I was also wondering about that M50. I sure wish I could afford a camera upgrade.
