I received my first subscription box yesterday, I have exactly the same fabric & notion box. These bobbins should fit my machine.

Good morning! Another fun project from Sewers Club. I love the cat's-eye sunglasses print - delightfully retro! - and the deep blue of the lining fabric is gorgeous. The two coordinate so well; the lenses are almost the exact shade as the lining fabric. The bobbins are so pretty! Alas, they wouldn't work on my machine; plastic bobbins always cause issues with it (thread snarls, skipped stitches, etc) which is weird since those are the kind it's supposed to use. I also like that the change purse is made with cut-offs from the main project. Not sure that I like how the change purse looks, though. I know I give Sewers Club grief over how many "things to put other things into" but I do love me a good tote bag, and this one looks fantastic.
I previously watched Dandelion Stitches' videos on this one (opening, and later finished project) and I think you're going to enjoy making the tote bag. It looks like it has an interesting construction method. I loved the finished tote; she used stash fabric because she didn't like the sunglasses (!!?!??!??? How can one not love those retro glasses???), and I'm looking forward to your finished-project video so I can see it in the intended material.

good morning to you too! That fabric is so fun and I think it suits the tote idea quite well! I don't think it would have been a good fit for last months project, but this one feels right. I had a really tough time with plastic bobbins too, they came with my machine too, but after some trial and error and discussing it with people more qualified than me, I finally found the right size and shape for my machine, before that, it was a super frustrating few years only using the 6 bobbins that fit. I'm excited to make this project too, I'm a bit backlogged at the moment, but hope to get to it soon!
