I gotta say, Dutch team made a huge progress since last year. I was honestly surprised of how much resistance they put vs my team Poland.
When it comes to Poland, I'm actually happy that we having some problem and struggling a little bit, bc better to have them now and solve them,
that we get used to winning easily. I understand that a lot of our fans are not too happy about our recent performance, but you have to understand that:
Yes, of course we do have a "core" of the team, but also as a coach you can't just close the team and not test other players.
A lot of players had an amazing club season and it would be stupid of him to to try them out, beside that what worked last year it doesn't mean
it will work this year. Everything is constantly changing and you have to adapt quickly, otherwise you will stay behind.
So please polish fans, let's suffer thru this together and support out great players! Cheers!
If someone interested, I made my own analysis of the statistics, and here is why Poland won:
Serve:
When it comes to "efficiency" meaning error\aces, the Dutch team was better at 3.8 vs 4.4 Pol, but
and the BUT is big! Poland maybe less efficient but gave away 22points vs 27 Dutch.
*Worth mentioning all aces on Poland side can from 1 men. KOCHANOWSKI 5 Aces!
And another big one that made the difference was whole team efficiency in ATTACK:
Dutch team 40% vs 54% Poland. And guess who I'm gonna mention now?? Leon?! Wrong! KOCHANOWSKI again! 90% Efficiency, no errors!
It was a tight game and stats confirms it, but also shows where the difference was.
Congratulations to Poland, my team still has a long way to go before being able to compete at their level. Proud of them for putting up the fight and always believing in getting the win. The Polish fans really are something else, too, travelling all this way to bring such a wave of energy to the sport. Personally not a fan of airhorns, but still I respect how much they have their team's back. Blijf knokken mannen!

The highlights make it seem like Poland dominated the whole match, even though it was 5 sets and the scores were constantly close.

Grbic played his bench Boladz and Szalpuk and set to them mostly in the first 3, not a fan of those two. But they fought back and forth until the 4th when coach put Leon and Kurek in. Leon was a monster, Kochanowski’s aces and late game plays helped them pull out a win. Nimir was very efficient until towards the end, the Netherlands couldn’t stop Leon. Grbic must know what he’s doing, always pulling out a last minute win, how many times now…
I think for Kochanowski not late game performance. He was really doing very well during the whole match. His aces of course was the highlight but his quick attacked during those important moments helped Poland to win the two sets. In the first set, just he didn't receive the ball as much as he did during the later part of the game. Which is in my opinion, shouldn't be. Because his attack is almost untouchable. The problem for Poland is the setter. This week, they don't have strong setter. Łomacz is good but not that effective that's why he is always the second option for the national team but still the best if without the other one. Just saying
@@SilvanaDyba I didn’t say Kochanowski only performed good at the end, I said they set to him more in the 5th where he made plays to seal the win. His earlier aces helped them stay in the game. Coach kept switching Lomacz and Firlej back and forth, he probably was not happy with their setting, who they need is Janusz. Lomacz’s sets may not be very good but it’s the coach’s decision on which players to go to more, and it seems like Grbic went to his best players later in the game to pull out the win.
Bołądź I've no opinion on but IMO Szalpuk did great in the squad before the news additions who had been previously resting (Kurek, Kochanowski, Leon etc.) joined the team to play these new rounds of matches. I'm not surprised the coach introduces a slower rotation instead of a total team change, given how "old" guys are a little warmed up in the season. It seems like less drastic than changing to a team who hasn't been playing in the tournament so far. I'm only guessing though, because I'm just a rube and don't know jack about managing a team, so could be off base entirely.
Hope to see aces like Janusz and Kłos join in as the tournament progresses.
@@domirineNed is ranked 12th, maybe Muzaj, Butryn, Kwolek, Sliwka or Kaczmarek could’ve done better. Grbic is trying to rest his best players for the toughest matches, they got 2 top 5 teams next.

Love your channel! I would enjoy the clips even better if you could keep it a surprise who had won. Now the team who won almost always scores the first points and the most points in the clip.

@@gerritdeheij Poland has already lost against usa in the past, as far as I know 0:3 also happened. I assume the VNL is not the main goal for the season for them. Don't forget many of them have just finished the club season. Few americans play in russian clubs which didn't attend the European cups due to sanctions. Don't forget about it.

Actually they have. But during the first tournament, the best setter played there so now they are rotating. For sure next time, he will be there.

I think that Grbic rotates the squad🇵🇱 on purpose to teach the team to real matches for the stake. Some let themselves be shown and outplayed, while the others end the match in their favour. Everyone plays with the maximum number of sets. I'm curious about the results at the end of the year🤔
Floor defense of Netherlands is slow to react. Setting was not well distributed in crucial times. Libero should step up.

@@tctekes w Polsce nie ma czegoś takiego jak podstawowy skład, dlatego że Polska ma wielu zawodników na tym samym poziomie i na turniej jedzie najlepiej dysponowany w najlepszej formie na daną chwilę. Liga Narodów jest poligonem doświadczalnym aby przetestować danych zawodników.
Wielu zawodników musi odpocząć, bo Plus Liga jest długa, do tego Liga Mistrzów, gdzie dwie polskie drużyny grały finał między sobą, a w tym czasie już zaczęło się zgrupowanie kadry.

How many Champions Leagues do the guys from ZAKSA (aside from Huber) have to win to be allowed to play for their national team? :) Feel kinda bad for them.
There are plenty of Zaksa guys on the team but they will probably join in the next phase. There’s 30 men on the roster and coach said he’d like to play as many young players as possible to give them opportunity.

@@kubamielcarski7476 in whatever team they play, every opponent struggles to take a point and a set from them, in these two games, especially today, they were the ones who chased the result and the connection for the Netherlands, okay, in the end the result came because individual quality decided, BUT I didn't like the game during these two games and the current form. They seemed to me as if they were aware that the Netherlands is a stronger team, but as time goes on and the games go by and the main players who are left join in, it will get better, only these games are bad because of the ranking.

Nie bez powodu polscy kibice siatkówki nie cieszą się pozytywną opinią - usiądź obok takiego, a tymczasowe problemy ze słuchem masz gwarantowane (piszę z własnego doświadczenia), a może jeszcze jakiś podkręcony speedem Sebix ochlapie Cię piwskiem, a jak ośmielisz się zwrócić mu uwagę, to wygrasz wycieczkę do szpitala. Najsmutniejsze jest to, że tacy "kibice" nie ogarniają, że swoim zachowaniem stawiają w złym świetle nie tylko siebie, ale przede wszystkim całą resztę Polaków. Wuwuzela w japie, piwko w łapie, zbezczeszczona bazgrołami flaga Polski przewieszona przez barierki, a do tego to wygwizdywanie i wybuczanie drużyny przeciwnej - kultura, szacunek i godne reprezentowanie kraju... nie ma co.
