They are terrified. Instinct keeps them silent and still, a better strategy for baby animals faced with a predator than running away. sensitive in your perspective. I doubt wheter the kittens feels similar , being grunted at by a creature 30times their size.. I would get instantly PTSD, and seems like at least one kitten looks kinda in a freeze.
Babies already know Bailey is all bark no bite. They’re gonna walk all over him. Good boy. ❤
I think all golden retrievers are all bark and no bite unless they aren't raised right and/or are abused. I would have to keep my dog on the line in the front yard because if she saw people walk by she would run at them barking acting all tough. I know they weren't in any danger because as soon as she reaches them she'll immediately go from acting tough to asking for scritches. But I also knew that they didn't know that and it can be scary seeing a big dog running towards you and I didn't know if they might hurt her in "self defense" so I was always concerned for my dogs safety whenever she did that.

They are terrified. Instinct keeps them silent and still, a better strategy for baby animals faced with a predator than running away. They can’t outrun a predator at this age, and crying and movement only stimulates attack. Especially without their mother, their safest strategy is to freeze (as in the “freeze, fight, or flight” response. They will be flooded with adrenaline, their little hearts pumping fast).
