The Vern Luce '33 Coupe set Boyd Coddington on the map in the early 80's and birthed the smooth era of hot rods. This 'Revisited' version has never before seen footage and historical pictures. It includes interviews with Diane and Chris Coddington, "Far Out" Gary Humenik, Duane Mayer, the late Bob Bauder, Gary Brown, Gene Winfield, and more.
Hot Rods By Boyd is the industry leader in American-made custom wheels. Founded by the iconic hot rod Builder Boyd Coddington, his legacy lives on through his son Chris who runs HRBB in Southern California. We feature original designs made famous by Boyd and new designs introduced by Chris. When you buy from HRBB, you are buying a product made by a Coddington, not a licensed product. What a revolutionary hot rod that coupe is,really pushed the envelope, I almost worshipped that car as a teenager.seen it at a show when they took the car to the UK years ago,I literally spent hours and hours looking at it a true work of automotive art form
Number two is Butteras 32 coupe
Awesome retrospect on the original '33 coupe that started the "smooth" look and the billet revolution, great job! 😎
Great video! Has to be one of my favorite Boyd built Cars! There's so many! Plus all the great OBS trucks and the style he created. Keep the great Videos Coming! Auto Revolution is Kicking Ass With these series!
Fun to see those guys that I got to know and work with back then. Many of them are dead now.
I thought the Hrudka Bros. 33 Willys built by Buttera was billet to the max, Boyd just second string.
Actually it was the Thom Taylor look... built by Boyd.
