I know the price differential is big between an A7CR and an A6700, but for folks that aren't going to have as many camera bodies as you it might be the way to go. FE glass around town, APSC glass when hiking. In my case my wilderness backpacking kit is an A7CR with the Sony 20-70 F4 G on the camera most of the time, and the APSC 70-350 (such a great lens) in a side pocket for wildlife or more reach in APSC mode.
The A7CR is a compact camera body, approximately the same size as the A6700. So sounds like you have a nice and compact kit. And with the 61mp in the A7CR you still got a decent resolution on APS-C mode 😊👍🏻
@@don7117 I understand your thinking, but it’s just the same as cropping in post 💁🏼♂️ you don’t get the same compression with cropping in to APS-C mode 😊
@@RogerAVHansen Missed opportunity for the camera industry there, they should have given all the lenses and cameras cool names and collectors cards with specs for people to put in binders and collect and battle with while waiting for the perfect shot - kinda like the «car specs card games» some of us used to play back in the days ;)

You have a lot of nice stuff 🤩 If you only had the 17-28mm what would be the next lens you would get to update your arsenal?
If I only had the 17-28mm I would no doubt get a 24-70mm f/2.8 lens 😊
@@RogerAVHansen been thinking about that focal length as well 😊
Subscribed. It is always well worth commenting on other peoples videos 👍
Thank you, I appreciate that! ☺️
Shoot your ff in apsc mode and get extra reach and use even less lenses.
Still heavy though 💁🏼♂️
@@RogerAVHansen Yes. I was just thinking more in terms of needing fewer lenses overall to cover a broad range of focal lengths.

@@RogerAVHansen Yeah, good point. My bad 😀!
Do you use these crop lenses on your Full Frame camera?
Sometimes 😊
Hahaha, «Gotta Catch’em All» ;)
Pokémon! 😂

I really hope they don’t go down that route, I’m spending enough money on camera stuff as it is, don’t need another reason 😅
@@RogerAVHansen Would make for some great battle reports though, «I’ll raise you a 35mm at 1.2 with a variable ND and 8 cylinders!»
Should have kept the M6 MkII 😂
I should have 😂
I literally just purchased one for the same reason lol!!
@@RodariusWashington congratulations ☺️
