- Patch day has arrived and 1.63 has fallen upon us. One of the planes that I was eager to try out and see how it would fair was the Lockheed Hudson. Even though it has a bit of a weird flight model in some regards. I approve.

When a Male Spitfire has completed its mating dance with the Female Lancaster, it will mate with it until the Lancaster births a baby Sowrdfish, which will become a teenage Blenhelm and grow up to be a Hudson. Having a thick layer of fat, it allows it to be resistant to attacks from predators. Whether its a male or female, it will be aggressive its whole life. It is an expert hunter, stalking its prey from behind and digging his .303's into the prey's body, which mainly is the rare German Condors. But it also expresses a soft side for its parents, as it allows its father to go for the kill.

With the windows and the drop down tail gun, this thing looks like an airliner that they just strapped some bombs to and put some guns in the cargo hold. The top turret looks like it was added after they built with how high it's sticking up.

I got to see the last of these things still flying at the Temora airshow in New South Whales, Australia. It's quite beautiful and way, way, way smaller than you'd think in person.
I really loved Bo and Bear apologizing to each other for the ram. It was like they had accidentally bumped junk in the men's locker room.
This reminds me of a match where a blenhim or Beaufort had a rolling battle with my condor with both sides taking lots of 7.7s and damaging multiple engines, it ended after I'd dropped my bombs and was rtb when a shot from my rear gunner over the side hit his fuel and made him pull off course where blew up, i rtb and repaired only to be shot down in about 12 bullets from a p36 after takeoff, I'd survived like 1000 rounds and killed him only to die instantly after getting a fresh plane.

I use the Swedish T18 bombers a lot like this, but more with the cowling mounted cannons.
The first game I had in the Hudson, I took out a base, rocketed a destroyer, then chased down a Stuka. We both ended up taking out each other's engines and making a water landing.

The only time when you can have too much fuel, is when the aircraft is ablaze.
I always thought that this plane was a transport plane so I would battle go over a base and say "alright troops go attack the base and destroy it" but I am young and don't know a lot

Your video made me go get the Hudson... best decision I ever made. It's so much fun. I have just been using it to grind ever since lol.
Also you know it's bad when you get top of the round with the same amount of air kills as the fighters when your flying something that looks like a bus with wings and a turret attached.
Because of the Hudson's more varied and heavier payload, I have found it to be even more useful than the Havoc.And the turret is very useful if you max out the gunners.
+Bo Time Gaming you should set propeller pitch to 100% when in MEC, or you lose a lot of engine power

i love how you and your friend in light bombers can take out fighters but when I play with my friend we'll both get shot down by biplanes in br 3.0
with my luck i'd get shot down by a biplane in a jet fighter once i get them

Can you try the Ki-102? Not a lot of videos on that one. I want to learn some anti-bomber techniques with big-gun planes, I always get messed up by their turrets.
I fly the 50mm armed Me-410, and the key is to engage from long distance and focus on 1 wing, If the plane has high velocity cannons(German 50mm, 30mm MK103, 30mm ADEN, F86-F2 Revolver Cannon).
Focus fire on 1 wing, either hitting engines, fuel tanks, or control surfaces. On B-29s and Tumor4s, you can easily kill them by taking out one wing's control surfaces and forcing it to roll over into a terminal dive. The other wing must remain relatively intact to make it unstable.

Too anyone who thinks this is a british made bomber, its actually american lol, lockheed designed and made it for coastal reconnaissance and to be a light bomber.
A majority were used by commonwealth countries, however.
Speaking of coastal aircraft, I really wish the BV 238 had torpedoes. Tired of the SM 79 and Do 217 being the only real contenders for torpedo bombing.

The Hudson was a military conversion of the *Lockheed Model 14 Super Electra airliner*, and was the first significant aircraft construction contract for the Lockheed Aircraft Corporation-the initial RAF order for 200 Hudsons far surpassed any previous order the company had received."

Wish gunners were any good still... I have this plane and maybe its cause Im on console but it feels weak as shit. Plus the damage model ensures the elevator falls off as soon as anyone even looks at it and you just crash.

I dont know if bomber landing gears are weaker or something cause i main attacker planes (german)and opptimule landing and taking off speed if 150 mph and u were slower than that

I quit watching the live streams because too much negative vibe. It's hard to watch a streamer who isn't having fun himself. Universal truth: when your hobby becomes a job, it becomes work and work is rarely fun. These videos are much more enjoyable. I cheered out loud for that first rocket kill and for several other kills that followed. I don't know if this is the point of this series, but it's great to see unusual, less popular aircraft be successful in the game (even if they wouldn't have been in real life). I haven't played any flight games since CFS3, and not much of that. I had "Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe" in the '90s; something called "Comanche", and before that and early version of "Falcon". I'm old and tired and don't have patience for humans, but I might download the game if only to punch holes in the sky when I have time. I'll never have your skill though.
One quick note is that the Hudson was actually a very spry and tough little airplane. I think it may be one of the only (non-Russian *cough*) planes to really get the good treatment by Gaijin.
Fair enough. I haven't been happy with the stream either recently. That is why I took a weeks break. We all have real life issues and I typically don't speak about what is happening in my life. I apologize for the negative vibe and I am trying to address it.
don't force yourself to do livestreams cause you have to. do it when you want to don't make it into a job then there's no point. it has a bad vibe a forced stream is less fun for us viewer's and you hope this helps.
