    RPM Arms are needed. This car is not the worst car of the world like some other youtuber claim.

      The big MT wheels really hold up , I have the LMTwheels on the maxx after they outlasted the LMT , meanwhile I’ve blew tires on first runs before.

    Some aggressive pricing from Team Associated in the UK has made this truck more popular than ever before. Easy to work on, very overpowered, and loads of fun! Also got a thriving Facebook owners group. Top tier wrenching video AJ 👍

    Awesome truck and haven’t tried the rpm arms yet but currently using the Redcat Kaiju ext arms and it’s been flawless with them , here in the Uk the Kaiju arms come as a service pack with all new MT8 trucks so win win 🏆
    Another great video AJ keep up the good work buddy .
    As a lot of UA-cam channels would have you believe this truck is rubbish but it’s one of my go to trucks right now really love mine .
    Stay awesome brother

      Also a good truck to learn wrenching on as it is fully loaded with kit. If you can work on this you can work on an XMaxx with no fear. 👍

      Unfortunately, they won't fit the hubs...I tried it already. Thanks for the suggestion.

    My whole wheel fell off on 2nd time driving it. By the grace of God I found the hex nut but not hub cover. I had to order 2 tires just to get another one pretty dumb

    These wheels are mahooosive!
    Whats the weight? Too heavy is not good for durability of the diffs.

    • @AJJAMStudios
      @AJJAMStudios  8 місяців тому +1

      They are 15.8 oz each. Only 3.6 oz heavier than stock tires. The issue is the offset, which is substantial. It will put an enormous amount of pressure against the steering links, the arms, bell crank setup, and servo saver. Can the MT8 handle that pressure without massive upgrades? I think we need to find out, don't you?

    • @AsurasWrath164
      @AsurasWrath164 8 місяців тому

      @@AJJAMStudios agree! Too much offset definetly puts a lot of strain on the servo but also makes the handling alot worse.
      Also: Over 15oz of tireweight would be way too much for my liking. The size of teeth of 1:8th diffs is way too small to handle such weight. That would be over 1/3 the weight of a regular 1:8 scale MT or truggy. Thats the weight of wheels of 1:5 scale cars.
      But they look awesome indeed. Just wouldn't use them for a long time.

    I've been interested in the drag car on your toolbox. What is it?

    • @AJJAMStudios
      @AJJAMStudios  7 місяців тому +3

      That is a custom built dragster made from an old vehicle I can no longer get parts for. I built it just for something to play with and it did work. However, it was a little hard to control. Unfortunately, I scorched the rear differential, and I have no way to replace it. I am planning on building another one with current parts, hopefully that will be a lot more fun to play with. Thanks for asking. 😎👍

    Hi my mt8 has no power something slipping any idea how to fix can diff s be tightened up

    • @AJJAMStudios
      @AJJAMStudios  Місяць тому

      I would check the drive cups for a missing grub screw. This is a common problem in many RCs.

    • @owen8538
      @owen8538 Місяць тому

      @AJJAMStudios you means shafts connected to the diff s

    Does moving the screw to the middle hole on the arm, where the shock end attatches. Make the suspension softer or harder ?

    • @AJJAMStudios
      @AJJAMStudios  8 місяців тому

      It gives the car's weight more power against the shock due to the leverage involved, and this softens the shock's performance characteristics somewhat. The closer the shock is attached to the inner hinge pin, the more leverage the tire and wheel weight has against it during operation. It also raises the ride height of the chassis a wee bit. It also allows a bit more travel for the arm both up and down. It is a small thing, but it still counts. The question I have is, will it allow the arm to travel far enough to spit out the drive shaft under impact, which has been a problem in other RCs. As far as these arms are concerned, I figure the center hole should be a neutral position and thus a good starting point. I may be a bit off on that, but the only way to be sure is to try. Thanks for asking.

    I heard the servo is not good at all, it’s true??

    • @runnerbaba
      @runnerbaba 8 місяців тому +1

      It is not important. You can get a decent servo for 25 bucks. Try stock, and if it fails or is too weak/slow for you then change.

    • @SnoriRC
      @SnoriRC 8 місяців тому +1

      Not the quickest but it’s a reasonable 25kg - Not an immediately required upgrade in my opinion. 👍

    • @AJJAMStudios
      @AJJAMStudios  8 місяців тому

      The servo does work but a stronger one, like a 35kg, might be a great upgrade, but only after the stock one burns out. Ours is still holding up fine with the stock servo and I've had no problems controlling it. All in all, the MT8 is a great stunt rig.
