Good afternoon. I enjoyed your reaction to Putri Ariani's cover of Behemian Rhapsody by Queen. Putri is an amazing singer and artist. I noticed that her cover slightly resembles the cover done by rising superstar Angelina Jordan. Her fans, called Angels, have been following this music prodigy with an old soul from Norway for a long time. She actually started singing at the age of 1 1/2 years old. She's basically been a star since she was 7 years old. First and foremost, she is a jazz singer but has the ability to sing any genre. She also does all of her own musical arrangements. Her early influences are Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, and Etta James to name a few. Her love of jazz came from her grandmother playing jazz music around her when she was young. In 2014, she entered at age 7 and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8. With her new found fame, she used it to appear on many shows from abroad and help raise millions for the less fortunate children around the world. At age 13, she was invited to participate on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. She shocked the audience and the judges with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. She received a standing ovation from all and got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the Finals. Her performance went viral and even the group Queen responded on Twitter the next day by saying, " Wow, what a rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody!" For Queen to respond to someone covering one of their songs is pretty unprecedented and unusual. Not only that, but she received the copyrights for her version of this song from Queen, which makes it hers now. She did not win, but her fan base grew and expanded her popularity. She has a new single that came out May 5th called Love Don't Let Me Go and a new EP of original music which will be coming out really soon. She recently returned back to Norway and performed at a number of sold out concerts in which fans from around the world came to see her. Many of the fans there said she sounded better live in person and was a once in a lifetime experience. Her fans call her The Barefoot Princess. She always performs with no shoes when she sings. Why? The reason is very special. When she was 6 years old, she was traveling with her family in Iran where she met a poor shoeless girl in the streets that was about her age. She made money by weighing people. After speaking with her for a few minutes, Angelina noticed the scars on the girl's feet and asked the girl what her dream is. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor but she couldn't because she had to make money for her family. Angelina did what came natural to her, she gave the little girl her shoes and told her to not give up on her dreams. The girl then asked Angelina what her dreams were, Angelina answered that she wanted to be a superstar, and the girl said she would pray for her success. Since then, Angelina has performed barefoot in honor of that little girl and to those who are less fortunate around the world. She keeps this promise to this day. A Angelina Jordan version of the song! Everyone hears that Putri is a good singer with a great future. But if you know music, you can hear the dynamics and the texture is a few levels up on Angelina.
