Still listening in 2024 ,i love the reverence in this song speaks of the power of the Lord moving in the house of the LORD [this imagery rekindles in the mind times of such sweet reflections of times when God graced his power in the churches that i went to ]there was a swetsense of flow of His river in the church.

Remember going through a hard time a year or two ago and my granny played this every day for me, A time has come now where I lost both my father that I got saved in his house at 16 and my granny which taught me everything about about the lord growing up in the space of 3 months and this hopefully put all my trust in God and not drugs will fully embrace Christ and sundrender everything turn to you God and not drugs!!

beautiful hym .my 13 year old son sang this with me in church such a lot .he passed away in 2013 from an ashma attack he was a very poorly boy .I no my baby is with our father and he is being very well looked after .God gives us and God takes it away blessed be in the name of the Lord .I love you Tommy and I miss you everyday .

One of my favourite songs of all time, it is so beautiful brings out an inner peace, the words are so powerful, in our busy lives we sometimes forget to take time and bless the Lord for all has done and is still doing, never give up hope, you never are alone, we have a friend in the Lord who never judges who loves you, forgives you, brings you joy , friendship, our protector, our guide, Our Everlasting hope. He came into this world to sacrifice himself asked for nothing in return just telling us to love each other, the Lord's Bright light will continue to shine where there is darkness in this world like a candle which will always burn with his love, praise him the everlasting Lord. God works in wondrous ways wonders to perform.

This is a very meaningful hymn that inspires us to take time and be refreshed in the presence of the Lord. It brings to mind Psalm 46:10 which says, "Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!" Bless the Lord, O, my soul.
I had this hymn at my husband's funeral
Many years ago as a child I attened the local Baptist church. This was one of my favourite songs. I grew away from the church in my teens and took my own path believing I could do it alone. I went through many hardships and even considered giving up nearly 25 years later my son (9 at the time) invited me to church for mothersday service. It was there I found God again and my life took a turn again for the better. Gods love opened my eyes and heart up which had been closed for many years. We sung this at my new church a few weeks ago and it was then I realised God never left me, I just couldn't hear him no more as I'd shut myself away from him.
I'm so thankful each day because without God I'd still be lost wandering in the dark with no direction. Stop the busy lifestyles, slow down and listen to God. He will show he is with you just be still feel his presence.

i lost my faith some years ago but this hymn makes me feel like i'm home
The Lord is faithful.
This was played back in May 2022 at a funeral for a dear friend who passed away from cancer at age 40. It was her favourite. I've never really been in to this type of music, but it's a very moving song. I've played it everyday since. It definitely gives hope 🙏

She was maybe very blessed and even maybe with Christ in heaven. But Catholic teaching tells us that, unless she was/is a saint, then she is actually in Purgatory, That's not a bad place to be but a resting place until she is made ready to meet/greet our God. No one (except the saints) goes straight to heaven!

The Holy spirit awaits at the darkest, then jumps out and blesses everyone with it, we all know this by lighting a candle on the days of advent, to celebrate Jesus' birth, and like how we celebrate Easter, this, regards from St Mary's Cathedral, is a sign of peace between us, heaven and hell. #blessed

This was my aunt Sylvia favourite hymn sadly she has passed and the family are all together today. I just couldn't face going but they are all in my prayers continuously and it has been sometime since Sylvia passed but she will always be loved. I have just found out that the composer of this beautiful song recently died at a very young age not so long ago. How glorious to be inspired by the Holy Spirit to write Hymns extolling the Lord of Heaven and Earth, the God of Israel, and then for the Hymns to be sung by new generations, honouring the composer long after he is dead.
