Thanks! How did you find the key? I am a beginner in Jazz and figured out the chords, but from the solo I thought it would be Em and Emaj because he also plays a lot G# in it. I still struggle to find keys if its not a straight 2-5-1 or something alike.
@@thefullspectralmethod1340 I am learning as well. However, what I've found is that the key of a progression or song is often a range and it is really up to you to get a sense of the tonal center of the song. I noticed that Doctor Mix was playing the note "D" alot in his solos.
@@aakash9058 Thanks for the reply. Once the chord progressions leave the diatonic realm and if no dominant chord is present, I find it really hard to get the key.
You can play eminor as well...key is based on your perspective!

i love challenges like these. i dont have the roland gear for this particular challenge. would you think about creating your own challenges for your viewers? maybe not so gear specific.

Would be every day little great moment if you made one each day, same principle or changing a parameter sometimes. It could be a music style, a song 'in the manner of'... This one is cool.
About me creating my only Roland gear is a Boss RC20 looper (if Boss is considered Roland), are every workshop and kitchen tools allowed ? (Remembering STOMP ! :-) )

Great vid!! loving your content. I'm still learning and enjoying all the presets far too much on the Fantom 8 at the mo to do anything serious with it. I'll probably use it as my main keyboard for gigs and leave my modx8 at home. I seem to be collecting synths 😀 and not workstations. There's a track called Synthesizer by Faithless, check it out. They only use Roland kit.
