    Sirkeci is a neighborhood in the Fatih district of Istanbul, Turkey. It is located on the southern shore of the Golden Horn, opposite the Eminönü district.
    History:
    Sirkeci was originally a small village located outside the walls of Constantinople. In the 19th century, the village was transformed into a major transportation hub with the construction of the Sirkeci railway station, the terminus of the Orient Express. The station was built in 1890 and is a beautiful example of Ottoman architecture.
