- Highlights of the East side of East Setauket. The Wall and Hell Hill were the best parts of the trail for me.

Hey Scott I'm new to mountain biking but there's a set of trails on long island that you might be interested in. It's the shoreham mountain bike trails. There's not much footage of it on UA-cam and what is there is old and in low quality. From what I've heard there some 27 miles of trail with features and boulders and a tight run along the edge of the north shore bluffs. They're not official trails so there not a trailhead I think it's just something that's evolved over time. Check out a vid on here called "Roman brown shoreham mountain bike trails," that's the best footage I've found of them. Since I'm familiar with the area I know where some of the trails begin and end if you're interested let me know I'd love to see a high quality video of this place.
Hi Justin. I appreciate the comment. I've been there 2 times in the past. I know the people that made the trails wanted it to be a private trail at that time so I never filmed or posted anything about them. I've heard rumors of climb adopting the trails. If that happens then I will definitely need to get out there and film.
@@TheCranemeister that would explain why there's not much footage or even mapping of it. I hope climb adopts it. There's so much potential!
That would be awesome 😎
Just moved right next to this trail system, totally awesome. Can finally ride all I want. See you guys on the trail!
I wish I lived closer to these trails. Enjoy!
Rode this today
What did you think of the trail?
@@TheCranemeister loads of fun
I did this trail about a month ago. Being my first time, I tried to stay on the blue, but wound up on black diamonds in the back.... I had to take one of those bail outs after 6 miles of riding LOL.....
Hahaha. Yes this trail is definitely challenging!
@@TheCranemeister did you do the Black Loop?
Yes. It's a journey for me to get there so I figure I should do all the trails to make the drive worth it.
I’m addicted to your vids
😁😁😁
Wow! Biking til sunset! Guessing that it’s brighter in person
It was a bit brighter in person but we probably should have put the lights on a few minutes earlier.
Cool video and trail. Gonna try to ride it next week for the first time.
This is totally sickk!!!! 🔥🔥
My home trails! This stuff is good fun on a CX bike.
Very nice ride
Geir B Thanks!
Can you tell me exactly where that entrance is. I live in the area 👍👍👍👍👍✌️
124-142 N Belle Mead Rd, Setauket- East Setauket, NY 11733. This is what I have the address as in my phone. Just past research way on north Belle Mead Rd. Thanks for watching!
Rad looking fun trail! Is this trail at Laurel Ridge Setauket Woods Nature Preserve?
Yes!
The West side is the "warm up" for the East side!
good i start on the east side
Thinking of ordering the 2021 9.6 farley. Live right behind the setauket trail. Anyway was wondering for most of the trails on Long Island do you still feel a rigid or a carbon fork is good for most of the trails on Long Island or should I get the farley 7 with the shock fork. Do you have a 9.6 at the shop you work at for sale
I think rigid is the way to go. No we don't have any. The 2021s are sold out.
If your a medium or xl I should have something for you coming in
I am a large. When do you think that will come in
I am 5 11 don think a x large will work do you. Do they run smaller
The Cranemeister I am 5 11 do you think a x large will do. Do the 9.7 run small
This is so amazing and crazy haha! I'm moving bto East Setakuet, would be very happy if you can give some tips
What did you need help with?
What kind of bike are you riding?
A Trek Farley Fatbike
Videos never do justice to the degree of incline. I’ve seen drops in person that look like a couple of feet on you tube until I’m standing and the ledge and then HELL NO!!!!
Yep. I've done the same before... Go to a trail thinking I'm definitely gonna try that drop. After getting there and looking at it I quickly change my mind.
You have any problems with ticks in the warmer months?
Oh yeah. Definitely at setauket. The only trail I have found ticks on me at. But I'm sure they are at all long island trails
The Cranemeister that’s what I figured, looks like I’ll be loading up on Deet before I hit the trails. Thanks!
@@Wildsurf52 Good luck! Enjoy
just took this trail on my fat tire Ebike with a group from CLIMB. Crazy intense trail, first time mountain biking.
Imma ride this for the first time today with my dad
Lucky! Have fun
