Travis, we have the same problem around our fields in GA. Look up "core gravel grid" on the interweb. They have several different styles for different aggregate. Lays down under the gravel and prevents shifting especially after hard rain. We placed a total of about 200ft on our steeper grades and i can say the money spent on the grids is completely offset by the cost in fuel, time, and equipment, plus gravel loss over the spring and winter times. It also helped with keeping the gravel from being pushed down into the soft dirt after a rain. Only concern was if it would hold up under heavy loads but we've had our equipment over the roads daily here as well as our grain trucks coming in loaded. No issues at all. Thought I'd give the insight. We've battled the gravel drives ever since I was young. Wish we'd of done it sooner.
I like the JCB TeleSkid wheeled loaders. First, the view is better than our old JD tracked loader. Second, with the left hand door, you don't have to climb over the bucket or whatever mounted in front and you can enter the cab between the tires whereas in the tracked model, you have to climb over the tracks. Lastly, with that telescoping boom, you can reach higher/farther.
Over the wheel tracks i hear are nice. That track machine is a neat looking thing. I believe JD does make a bigger track one . DEF is not a big deal for us either it's not like it takes alot like fuel
I use a 324e John Deere every day and it's a nice machine it doesn't have def and isn't a fuel hog. Had a 326e before this one and it was a great machine also. In fact I preferred it over the 324 because it was a larger frame machine and it had the foot throttle whereas the the 324 has the option to use foot controls and when you're not using foot controls the right foot pedal becomes the foot throttle and isn't comfortable to use
If the big one would have had tracks that would be the best of both worlds. I've watched good operators run 333g loaders and it is amazing how productive you can be with one of those
The weather was totally different in Des Moines when you were filming this. Nice to see you putting the equipment to use at your place. Did it take much to get used to the controls?
also, I run my machine around 50-75% throttle. I can get almost 2:1 Fuel to DEF fluid in my 331G I can go 8 hours and only use about 1 gallon an hour of diesel
holy shit a 331 john deere skid steer $82,000 my kubota dealer sells a SVL 75-2 a 75.2hp for $48,000 and 92.2hp for $50,000 cheaper with 6 year warranty and 0% for 84months plus $400 to $1,400 off with the attachments
Michael Mac Tavish you have to look at what you are getting. Kubota doesn't have the dealer network, reliability, or name Deere does. Look around on UA-cam and see how many more Deere machines are out there than Kubota. And how happy people are and how they will outpower, dig, and last the Kubota.
Def or blue def is urea or if you break it down to common terms (pee) and when it's sprayed into the exhaust pipe it reacts with the fumes and cleans it. The other part of the machine that controls emissions is the dpf or diesel particulate filter which collects the soot or the black smoke. Once it is full it triggers the engine to run at a higher rpm to raise the egt or exhaust gas temperature which cooks the soot into Ash and it's released into the air.
DEF bothers people because it's just an added expense (and added complexity to the machine) that returns ABSOLUTELY ZERO VALUE to the farmer/user. It's all just added nonsense and expense to solve a "non-problem". Later! OL J R :)
Everything starts out running well with DEF its when the components start to fail as the machine ages. It starts robbing performance, and becomes very costly. That's why people do not like it. Brand new machines obviously work well
Just make sure the dealer brings buckets that are atleast as wide as the machine my dealer dropped off a 78 inch tooth bucket and a 86 inch cleanup... What the 333 needs is a 96 high back smooth edge and a 86 inch mid profile tooth. and what I am doing is not buying the Deere buckets I am running Bobcat buckets they fit tighter on the quick attach. they are also built tougher I have bent the Deere buckets with the power of the 333. But never had an issue with the Bobcat buckets.
Wheels just ain't worth it unless you're only on concrete tracks can go anywhere wheels are more comfortable on concrete but won't go anywhere tracks won't go
Been 99 years since a solar eclipse went coast to coast in the US. Last one to be seen from the contiguous US( 48 states) was in 1979. Hawaii saw a total eclipse on July 11th 1991. The next one to hit the US will be in 2024 and goes from Mexico to Canada.
Tom Phillips You must not have paid attention is science class!!! I am not sure how old Dwight is but I am sure he was born sometime after 1950 and probably closer to 1960, but since 1950 there have been 14 Solar Eclipses that were viable over the USA and some of them in Wisconsin. It has not been 99 years lol.
What a treat to be able to use those 2 machines!
A great presentation of the machines and enjoyed your commentary over the video.
Great video and great review of both deere's. Probably one of your best videos so far.
It's really awesome that you are getting to work with both skid steer loaders.
Good video. Got some chores done with 2 different machines always a plus.

looks a great machine thanks for showing
Very enjoyable video Travis

Very good video Travis
My neighbors Mustang 2074 2 speed has a foot throttle. He had it put in and it worked great when I used it to stack round bales.
I love all the dogs just playing around
Over the wheel tracks i hear are nice. That track machine is a neat looking thing. I believe JD does make a bigger track one . DEF is not a big deal for us either it's not like it takes alot like fuel
Which would be better for you right now one of these small machines or the Deere with the loader on it.
I use a 324e John Deere every day and it's a nice machine it doesn't have def and isn't a fuel hog. Had a 326e before this one and it was a great machine also. Cool video I have a case which is the same as the new holland wheeled machine would also like to try a track machine see ya Napa Mike 👍

An option to repair that fractured concrete corner it's to build a reinforced (with steel) concrete slab because the ground is failing by the filling.
we need some more pasture clearing videos!
Those are very fun to run.
Do y'all think y'all would consider buying (over the top) OTT tracks for yalls 773 Bobcat
I'd definitely consider it. Even just chains for the front tires would help in ice and muck conditions
The weather was totally different in Des Moines when you were filming this. Nice to see you putting the equipment to use at your place. Did it take much to get used to the controls?
DEF-Definite Engine Failure
We experienced the full eclipse here in Sweetwater tn
I love my 331G on tracks. $82K with every option John Deere offers. 5 years and 0% interest. Couldn't be happier
also, I run my machine around 50-75% throttle. I can get almost 2:1 Fuel to DEF fluid in my 331G I can go 8 hours and only use about 1 gallon an hour of diesel

Michael Mac Tavish, theres a bigger Price difference then that between the kubota's.
can anyone tell me what def is was a farmhand for ten years but never heard of def
Diesel exhaust fluid
Chris Jacobs the blue fuel cap you see on a lot of new machinery.
AdBlue, for SCR (selective catalytic reduction) exhaust gases treatment, it helps to reduce NOx gas emissions in diésel engines.
DEF is Diesel Exhaust Fluid used in newer diesel engines for emissions.it is injected into the exhaust to scrub the partictulate exhaust filter.
Def or blue def is urea or if you break it down to common terms (pee) and when it's sprayed into the exhaust pipe it reacts with the fumes and cleans it. The other part of the machine that controls emissions is the dpf or diesel particulate filter which collects the soot or the black smoke. Is it just me or did the audio virtually vanish while Travis was working ? Nice action footage though !!
If you buy a machine demo all the machines to get a good idea what you want. The new Bobcats are night and day better then even the 773.
wow the dog turned black, what did he get into ?
Hey traivs who owns the 8235r
Kyle Blizzard they own it
Freddy1444 Bk He is asking if Travis, Ryan or their Dad own it. That's how they buy their equipment.
the only problem i have d.e.f besides the extra cost it sucks during winter months i have had nothing but problems
the svl 75-2 my dealer sells for $48,000 and $50,000 for a svl92-2 a 92.2hp wich not bad 6 year warranty and 0% for 84months no interest
Iso controls are the best imo
If you have a bulk tank, the DEF isn't a thing.
U look a lot like Daniel Rolling
You need to Demo a newer bobcat
DEF bothers people because it's just an added expense (and added complexity to the machine) that returns ABSOLUTELY ZERO VALUE to the farmer/user. It's all just added nonsense and expense to solve a "non-problem".
Later! OL J R :)
ISO controls is a lot easier to use especially if you are going from foot controls to hand controls
Everything starts out running well with DEF its when the components start to fail as the machine ages. It starts robbing performance, and becomes very costly. That's why people do not like it. Brand new machines obviously work well
Get a 333 You won't be disappointed
Just make sure the dealer brings buckets that are atleast as wide as the machine my dealer dropped off a 78 inch tooth bucket and a 86 inch cleanup... But never had an issue with the Bobcat buckets.
Rogue Excavating the 333g should have come with a 90" bucket. I don't know what your dealer was doing?
Wheels just ain't worth it unless you're only on concrete tracks can go anywhere wheels are more comfortable on concrete but won't go anywhere tracks won't go
If you had to drive to a neighbor 1.5 miles away frequently, would tracks or wheels be better?
jd or kubota skid steers!
I'd buy a volvo over a deere
Your dad mist be really old since we have not had a full solar eclipse in us in 99yrs lol
