- A day exploring the University of Cambridge's library with college stops in between! As always, please like, subscribe and comment - it means the world! :)
For those that are new here... my name is Ellie and I'm a student at the University of Cambridge studying Part III Masters of the Mathematical Tripos (basically a fancy way of saying I'm studying a maths masters lol) and I am in Sidney Sussex College! I love maths, space and tech (I have a tech channel too!) and I'm so excited to share this new chapter with you all 💛

ellie love you videos!!! As a math student, I would love to know how you study, specially how you do flashcards.
Thank you so much!! That really means a lot! I am planning on releasing a video when I finish Cambridge explaining how I revise fully! :)
I love the look of the University Library. It must be easy to get lost in the maze of shelves and corridors though!
Oh absolutely! I love it so much!
Thanks so much for making these videos. As a non-Cambridge student who recently got an offer to study Part III (Pure), I've found them very helpful.
I say pure, though I'm eyeing up the general relativity course because of its connection to differential geometry
Can u please tell me more details about what and in which university u are studing? I am doing a master 2 in differential geometry and geometric control
@@s.h.i2553 I'd rather not say which university I'm in at the moment. It's a mid-level Russell Group university. Among other things, in my third year, I am studying/have studied differential geometry, algebraic topology, complex analysis, measure theory and some functional analysis (though nowhere near as much as I'd like). How are you finding your master's?
Thank you so much for your lovely comment! Congratulations on your offer, you will have an amazing time here!!
@@extensionsorbit7727 I'm finding it really interesting , i didn't expect how much we use functional analysis in differential geometry but still cool, even though i think i will go more into control theory or inverse problems for my thesis .
I have a question : what is part III? is it considered as master 1 or 2 or both?
Hi, I'm enjoying your Part III day in the life videos. Are you planning to do a PhD next year? Is that the norm for most part III students?
Hi,I really like your video. I heard that there is a common room for Part iii student in department,is that the same room appear in this video?
Thank you! Yes, there is a Part III common room. It's in the Centre for Mathematical Sciences and is essentially a computer suit. It has a few desks and computers and is a great space to collaborate. I didn't spend too much of my time in there as a part III student but it's still a great study space!
@@EllieSleightholm Thank you for your reply, sounds cool!
8 million books!
I would love to spend my life there
It's honestly incredible!!
Hi, Ellie and Happy Tuesday!😊😊😊😊😊😎☀💙🌈💜🇬🇧👍. WOW! What a beautiful campus you have there! And here's the fun fact - Holly went to Cambridge University too and she graduated! YAY!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉. So...yeah. Have fun and enjoy the campus!😊😙💙💙💙💙💙💙🌈🌷💜💜💜💜💜💜💜😊😎☀🇬🇧⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍
