Update on Ace - I have gotten him involved in playing some of the games ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU and I can see a difference in his confidence already! My other dog played along and he became intrigued - now its a daily part of our routine - about 3 times a day we do the shell game and the muffin tin game. I am so grateful for coming upon your training techniques!
Good groomer. I love the way she speaks to the dog. Gently saying, "good boy" every now and then.i have groomed 21 years. I use the Andis blades and combs. Nice job.
I just met my aunts 7 month old LD he is such a love. Hes got a little more poodle hair though. They had him shaved down for the summer. He looks a lot like this one but a little red in him. Great video thanks for the all the tips.
Thank you! During the COVID19 have had to groom my own labradoodle and this was so far the best video. ESP focusing on the paws, head and tail. Thank you!
My doodle always went to the groomers every 2/3months up until 18 months ago, when had to have massive lifesaving operation. This took 6months to recover from before I could even consider the grooming again. Unfortunately NO groomer will now even consider doing the job, it is a definite NO without hesitation. After attempting to manage the coat myself it is now showing a hacked look, This video gives me what I desperately need, a step by step guide and demonstration with full explanation and tips. I only lack one thing.......a dog that stands perfectly still 😂 but I still would not change mine
This is a really cute haircut, especially for a doodle with a fleece coat not a wooly or curly coat. I like how it shows the beautiful shape of the labradoodle body. Often labradoodle cuts are cute, but you lose the athletic look in too much hair. Also when the hair is shorter it is lower maintenence which is a plus. I also like that you can see the shape of the ears, instead of letting them grow until the dog looks like a spaniel. Will definitely be using this video for my pup.
This is by far the best doodle grinning video I have found! I'm a hairstylist so this should be easy for me, where can I get those scissors and what length are they?8/9inches??
Beautiful work, on a lovely dog so well behaved!!! A real pleasure to watch your skillful work with scissors. I do have some questions please: 1. #4 and #6 comb blade attachments - what size in inches or mm are these? 2. What kind of blade size did you use with the combs? #10 blade with #4 comb for body. What kind of blade for head - same one? 3. Head hair is left a bit longer than body, right? 4. Is it okay to trim face a bit shorter than you left it? I'm used to poodles, so wondering if Labradoodles would look good with a slightly narrow facial profile instead of a Schnauzer type mustache and beard? 5. Please let me know what type of clipper you used on body, and what kind would you recommend for inside paw trimming? I have an Andis AGC2 Pro, but for detail paw clip for poodles I'm looking at Bravmini, or Chromado smaller clippers both made by Wahl. Please advise!!! Thanks for a great demo! Such a good looking finished dog!!
Wow, I know this is years later, but this woman is so skilled! that I had to comment! Her demeanor with the dog is much much better than the young american lady groomer that has many videos.
This is the best video I have found. I want to start cutting my Doods and this gave me the information I needed. What scissors were used? I noticed comb was wider toothed, which comb was it? Is there a tool list used in this cut?
I love this cut. I am dog groomer and prefer this cut, but unfortunately I live in the warm and humid south. My clients either want their doodles short for the heat or they don't brush at home making for a matted dog. The demo dog behaved wonderfully.
I am not a groomer and live in the hot and humid south plus my labradoodle is black. I do it myself and it's hard as hell, need all the tips I can get..takes me a week. I use the WAHL Kennel Pro and was looking for a cordless clipper. I need help. Twitter @Senordiaz...thanks.
My Labradoodle is 8 months old and has yet to be trimmed. I was hoping to not have him trimmed so short. In fact, I thought the 'before' was short enough. Is there something I should ask a groomer?
+Tim Dendy Jessica is right. A Labradoodle is a retriever both on Lab side and Poodle side, not a chi-chi dog as the French would have us believe. Poodle is a German product for hunting. Consequently, this dog WILL GET MUDDY and loves outdoor sports. If you leave hair long, it will mat like crazy and be a daily grooming nightmare, pick up burrs on paws, foxtails, mud clots, and you will go Arrrggghhh!! and then limit outdoor activity. Not to mention fleas and ticks for this outdoor doggie! So cut it short. This demo actually shows pretty long hair on paws and tail and face. I would do a pet cut much shorter! This dog mix has working dog breed origins and is not a companion breed like Maltese or Bichon, so trim has to reflect its working functions. By the way, the hair is so fine and silky, if you let it grow, keep it combed down nicely daily, then give it a shave, you can harvest the wool. Send it to spinners to spin into a wool yarn, then knit into a scarf of sweater and you will wear your dog, ha, ha! I would do this if I had a Doodle of any kind! Best wool in the world, close to Cashmere.
Tim Dendy You might have to do some trial and error, both in finding a groomer to do what you want and then what length works best for you and your dog. It's awesome that this groomer emphasizes that (unlike some of the comments here, where they insist on ultra short). Also, it seems that the Australian Labradoodle has a longer, shaggier look, especially around the head, which can be seen in ALAA videos.
0.5% of the groomer know how to maintain long coat on doodles, be prepared to pay big money and be patient to find one. Be very clear what length you want. Get your dog groomed every other week to keep the long coat other wise it will be shaved
Wow, how do you get that dog to stand so still! Are there any tricks you can share when grooming puppies? Our labradoodle puppy is going for her first trim today. I'd like to learn to do this myself.
+SM My guess is she uses a high velocity dryer (HVD) after bathing to stretch out the curls and make the clipper glide through the coat. Most, if not all, professional groomers use HVD's, but there are many designed for home use too.
SM No, that’s not why. I have a labradoodle and he looks that way after I groom him. It depends on what kind of coat they have. If it wool coat it won’t look like this.
I have a labradoodle, Romeo, the love of my life, and when I try to trim his hair my clipper blades wear out half way through. It is such a tough job but I cannot afford a pro at this time. Is it normal that the blades wear out like that?
This dog stands so still. My Goldendoodle would be bouncing off the walls. I have to sedate her with acepromazine to calm her down enough to groom her.
Most people do not pluck ears anymore as it creates more problems (with infections) than it solves. " Better to cut away some hair as best you can and clean the ears regularly with an ear cleaning fluid.
Stephen P I know what you mean. If I did that with mine, I would have to go to the vet. Because I’m afraid I would poke him in the eye. All it would take is one jerk of his head. She has all the experience we need.
Hey, I have a question; We have an razor made for dogs but his fur always gets stuck in it every like 3 second, he’s also a labradoodle (3/4 poodle and 1/4 Labrador) Where did you get that razor?
Excellent work. I wish my doodle would stand so nice! What model Wahl is that? I have 76's but they just have no oomph power any longer, they're nearly 30 years old
sorry! I had 76's too as i was a hair stylist for 25 years, but they're not powerful enough. I went to pet smart and got oster power max 2 speed. they go thru her hair like butter!! My rosee hates her feet done so that is a struggle, but these are so quiet and low vibrating that it's much easier now. Hope this helps!
The cut is beautiful but the legs were just hard to watch. My had would be tired. Anytime I do a longer leg I just use a longer comb attachment thenm recomb and clean up the lines or if the legs are longer then an inch or columned I scupt it done with a short comb attach then scissor. Really nice finish but my arm would hurt doing this to 6 LDs a day
Update on Ace - I have gotten him involved in playing some of the games ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU and I can see a difference in his confidence already! That is the best behaved dog i have ever seen ! He's a star.
Thank you so much! I just finished grooming my Golden-doodle and she turned out great! So helpful!
Good groomer. I love the way she speaks to the dog. Gently saying, "good boy" every now and then.i have groomed 21 years. I use the Andis blades and combs. Nice job.
You and your dog are amazing!! By far the best dog grooming video I've seen!! Thanks so much for sharing it!
You are so good, you make it look so easy. He looks beautiful!! Thank you.
Fabulous tutorial! Very thorough! Trying to learn how to groom my Goldendoodle so I really appreciate this!
I just met my aunts 7 month old LD he is such a love. Hes got a little more poodle hair though. They had him shaved down for the summer. He looks a lot like this one but a little red in him. Great video thanks for the all the tips.
Beautiful! Now I understand why it takes long when I take my doodle to get groomed. Thank you for your expertise!
Thank you, calm presenter , i learned something useful today. Time well spent.
Thank you! During the COVID19 have had to groom my own labradoodle and this was so far the best video. ESP focusing on the paws, head and tail. Thank you!
For those wondering what brand scissors she is using, they are P&W by Rony De Munter.
Awesome work! Watch this video a few time and Took notes. Thanks for sharing
What an amazing difference! I can’t imagine a dog that calm during a trim. Mine will need a harness & a sedative. Lol
Mine too..aaahhh
What a good boy! He stood so still for so long. This groomer is so talented! Now I know why grooming is so expensive.
My doodle always went to the groomers every 2/3months up until 18 months ago, when had to have massive lifesaving operation. Beautiful patient dog,....loved watching this talented groomer
It is so cute, its coat looks really shiny.
That’s a gorgeous groom
Wonderful groomre and very patient dog. Thanks

I want a dog exactly like this. Beautiful and so well behaved!
WOW.... very talented....super job 👍
This dogs manners and training is #goals ! Wow 👏🏼
Linda you are great i learn lots from you and love the clipper comb attachment work so well.
Thank you for sharing this video. You are amazing handling those shears!
Thanks so much for sharing it you have done a marvelous job
Best video ever
I have 2 Labradoodle dogs! That dog looks like my first dog, who is a labradoodle
People can say whatever, this dog looks just so neat and adorable!
Thank you....was very helpful !
This is by far the best doodle grinning video I have found! I'm a hairstylist so this should be easy for me, where can I get those scissors and what length are they?8/9inches??
Beautifully 👍 done
But I’ve never had a doodle come in with that good coat 😜
Beautiful work, on a lovely dog so well behaved!!! A real pleasure to watch your skillful work with scissors. I do have some questions please:

Thanks for a great demo! Such a good looking finished dog!!
she is AMAZING!!!!!
bro this dog looks exactly identical to mine ! I swear he must be sneaking around at night to be on these dang UA-cam videos
He looks so soft!
i use wahl clippers for doing my son's hair. can i use those clippers on my dog or are dog clippers different?
Good job 👏
I groom my own doodle, very helpful video.
Wow, I know this is years later, but this woman is so skilled! that I had to comment! Her demeanor with the dog is much much better than the young american lady groomer that has many videos.
Can you please tell us what equipment you used, eg clipper type, blade type and where we can get it. They made that job look easy. Lol
I never get to groom doodles that are in such good shape and have such nice coats 😭
Great video. Thank you.
This dog is soooo cute!!!!!!!!!!
I would like to see a video with a hyper young doodle, about 8 to 12 months old.
Dennis Klispie I
I love how demo dogs just stand up and don't move.....Nice job btw and thank you for posting, it is nice to see pro groomers doing their thing.
Great video! Thank you so much! Now to gather my little cookies and my darling new pup.
Hermosos, Gracias
This is the best video I have found. I want to start cutting my Doods and this gave me the information I needed. What scissors were used? I noticed comb was wider toothed, which comb was it? Is there a tool list used in this cut?
What shampoo do you use on the dogs?
I love this cut. I am dog groomer and prefer this cut, but unfortunately I live in the warm and humid south. My clients either want their doodles short for the heat or they don't brush at home making for a matted dog. The demo dog behaved wonderfully.

this gave me a better idea of what my puppy will need.

Awesome! Wish me lots of luck. My Labradoodle is 6months old 😬
Very informative. Is it necessary to wash and dry dog first?
Yes, absolutely if you want to ensure a good finish and avoid discomfort to your dog.
dogs tv thank you
I wish my doodle was as calm!!!!
Wow nice
How long does it take to groom a medium Isized Labradoodle long I'm worried that it is taking too long with the groomer we are using.
at least 3-4 hours depending on the dogs behavior
I looked at the date of this release, and I realized this sweet doggo probably isn't around anymore😭
Ok… now I appreciate my groomer more than ever. She earns every dollar I pay her. 😂
what is the name of this cut?
Thank you so much!
#4 and #6 comb blade attachments - what size in inches or mm are these?
I need a picture where i can take it to my groomer
My Labradoodle is 8 months old and has yet to be trimmed. I was hoping to not have him trimmed so short. In fact, I thought the 'before' was short enough. Is there something I should ask a groomer?

One word: editing.
Lo maximo😋
What a good boy
Lovely job! I gotta say that I’m not inspired to run out and trade my Andis for a Wahl. It sounds like a weed eater!
My Andis is super quiet. This sounds so much louder.
I agree completely ! I love my Andis.
Wow, how do you get that dog to stand so still! Are there any tricks you can share when grooming puppies? Our labradoodle puppy is going for her first trim today. I'd like to learn to do this myself.
Hes probably used to it already.
now is this a wavy or curly coat
I would say it's more of wavy than curly if we compare with poodle hair
Briliant job😉
I would appreciated it if you could upload a video on how to trim a shaggy hair Shih Tzu.
How did you make him so fluffy before the trimming? My doodle has a lot of curly hair :( i can't get it like that ..
+SM My guess is she uses a high velocity dryer (HVD) after bathing to stretch out the curls and make the clipper glide through the coat. Most, if not all, professional groomers use HVD's, but there are many designed for home use too.

😍😍 o meu é igual
I have a labradoodle, Romeo, the love of my life, and when I try to trim his hair my clipper blades wear out half way through. It is such a tough job but I cannot afford a pro at this time. Is it normal that the blades wear out like that?
What model are your clippers you done the pads with please.
This is a little difficult for me to do because my dog will automatically sit down and I cant keep him standing
I read that labradoodle should be trimmed with scissors and not clipped because they have an undercoat.
can u do a havanese
This dog stands so still. My Goldendoodle would be bouncing off the walls. I have to sedate her with acepromazine to calm her down enough to groom her.
you need a groming table. it has something to put around the neck to hold them.
Thank you
Do you use a special powder to remove the hairs from the ears??
Most people do not pluck ears anymore as it creates more problems (with infections) than it solves. "
Better to cut away some hair as best you can and clean the ears regularly with an ear cleaning fluid.
Thanks we just got a Labradoodle puppy
No way I could use scissors so close to the eyes on my Goldendoodle. She's a wee bit on the hyper side !
Stephen P I know what you mean. If I did that with mine, I would have to go to the vet. Because I’m afraid I would poke him in the eye. All it would take is one jerk of his head. She has all the experience we need.
I agree. Made me cringe :-O.
I’m nervous for this part of grooming, I’m getting a doodle in a few weeks, hopefully i won’t mess up
What scissors were used on the legs?
Hey,
I have a question;
We have an razor made for dogs but his fur always gets stuck in it every like 3 second, he’s also a labradoodle (3/4 poodle and 1/4 Labrador)
Where did you get that razor?
Piekny!!!
Good Groom! I would have left him a little longer around the face and ears but it was overall a good example of a Labradoodle Groom.
How quickly will their fur grow back to original length?
Matter of weeks. Doodles have to be groomed as often as poodles so every 4 to 6 weeks.
Excellent work. I wish my doodle would stand so nice! What model Wahl is that? I have 76's but they just have no oomph power any longer, they're nearly 30 years old
Jodee Loves the Lord
The cut hair would be great to stuff pillows with.
:-* i love the labradoodles
😋
The cut is beautiful but the legs were just hard to watch. My had would be tired. Well done video. My dogs shed. My bird molts.
Great groom but there is a breed standard for the Australian Labradoodle.
What coat is this considered for a doodle?
Wavy, I think
He looks like my new doodle puppy, same coat and color.
I woul like to see a groom on a 6 month old fidgety goldendoodle
Edward scissor hand
I have a labradoodle but he looks more poodle!
