I’m glad dude pointed out how many eras and rappers LL went through. That’s why he’s the GREATEST OF ALL TIME. Not the Greatest of one time. LL survived and thrived in every era, with the exception of the MC’s that came out before him. That’s GOAT STATUS.
S/o to the interviewer for his excitement and flowers on display. LL deserves all of this energy at all times, as a living legend. I'm glad to see someone gets it!
Incredible episode ! I'm 27 years old and I'm excited to hear LL's new album. Ray and the whole squad man I appreciate ya;; for what y'all do for me ! Thank you guys
Great show. Quite as its kept, people don't realize the new blueprint LL has laid down for hip-hop. He's literally the most important person for the culture that exists today. What he's doing with Rock the Bells is absolutely transformational for Classic hip-hop. It's affecting artists from the 70's, 80's, 90's, 2000's, 2010's, and 2020's. It will reverberate for generations. Hip-hop is having a massive renaissance, where artists like Common, and Nas, and Rakim can come out with projects and have a place for them to be played (rock the bells radio) and the work can be celebrated. Hip-hop is growing up because it's first superstar has embraced the role of lifting the culture.
LL is such a wonderful character. I noticed that he imagines a movie scene in his head whenever he tries to describe something lol. The analogies he came up with had me crying bruh
A yo @Ray Daniels! Congratulations on a great interview with LL! Your true respect and admiration for LL shined through in this interview and you can tell that he appreciated your sincerity! One more thing bruh.. I know you rep the ATL today but you still a New Yorker and that’s why you’re successful! You got that Uptown BX DNA! 😂 Salute 🫡 and continued success! 👊🏽💯
As a real LL fan, I can tell dude is a real fan. He gets it. Man its like I was doing the Im Bad video with L. I was right there with him going through his progression.
I've been 'Rockin' With The GOAT' since '84. It's '24 and I'm anticipating this 'FORCE' album as if it's '85 (Radio album). In other words, 40 yrs, 5 decades = G.O.A.T.
This is really a great convo! LL just might be the best ever, especially if you consider all the accolades and still having legit relevancy to this day. All sorts of gems dropped all throughout, this was truly dope. LL still has such a fertile mind and he seems much more humble than you might expect him to be. Salute.
LL made "I want you" AND " I can give you more" on his first album. He been down with talking to the ladies on an intimate level from "Radio". "I need love" was the joint that blew on that level, big up to the legend, DJ Bobcat, for producing that joint, but LL had that understanding that women buy records, and more important, need love from us. He knowledged that from the door. Big up and respect to LL Cool J
This is crazy. I been listening to Doin It the past couple days like it just dropped then I catch this interview. Ray u da man I been tapped in. Keep killing it #visionary
Pretty Cool that J mentions Spoonie G and Whodini for making Love Rap records before him. And I'll be glad when the "inspiration" 😆comes when he does some songs with his lyrical peers in the form of Kool Moe Dee, KRS☝🏽, Rakim and Big Daddy Kane (LL's favorite 😆) and the like. A lyrical, musical party and odyssey. #LLCoolJ ⚡👑 #TheGOAT 🐐♑ #MC 🎵🎤
At 11 going to the concert in Long Beach to get school clothes as kids was fun cause all the ballers with they girls was paying us no matter what ethnicity we had jobs but dudes got mad but the girls made them pay us the young ones.😂❤
L's a good dude. My brother Gattie Tha King was signed to Def Jam a while back and L would always drop jewels on how to handle Kevin Liles and Lyor Cohen. Lol. Good times.
To mention Ja Rule & Nelly for who LL was competing against in the 90s and 2000s, but not 2Pac BIG Wu Tang Bone Thugs Eminem Nas Big Pun Scarface Ludacris Common Twista Busta Snoop Dre Treach (Naughy by Nature) Outkast Etc etc was corny. I know you can’t mention everyone, but why leave out so many of those legendary emcees above, but name Ja Rule & Nelly? They did what they did too, but at least mention doper emcees when talking with one of the GOAT like LL who is a student of the game who loves dope emcees like I named above + G-Rap Rakim Pharoahe Monch Black Thought Elzhi Phonte Ransom Chino XL Big L Masta Ace Queen Latifah Guru Grand Puba King Y Benny Cambatta KXNG Crooked Royce KRS Conway Locksmith Lupe Mickey Factz MC Juice Tonedeff RJ Payne Ka R.A the Rugged Man Nino Bless Brother Ali Roc Marci Marlon Craft Sa-Roc Che Noir Diabolic Apathy Ras Kass Kane Del & the Hiero crew DOOM Sean Price CunninLynguists Etc etc etc If you listen to Rock The Bells at all LL loves promoting dopeness.

I read in LLs book that he couldn’t believe that he was getting paid, for something that he would do for free. Thats respecting the craft ✊🏾

"This my 40th year and I'm relevant"
How many other rappers if any can say that? Salute to LL the GOAT! This was a great interview!
'WATCH CHA MOUTH .. DON'T EVER GET OUT OF LINE .. LL COOL J .. NAGA .. GREATEST OF ALL TIME' ..
LL is the first rapper I'd ever heard say they had 10 years in the game. That seemed such a long time back in the 90's
I’ve been saying this for years: they need to be teaching about LL in schools. Love that man!❤
Are saying a "Cool J Course"?! Lol I agree!
Actually every knew artist should have to take this course after signing.
Incredible episode ! I'm 27 years old and I'm excited to hear LL's new album. Ray and the whole squad man I appreciate ya;; for what y'all do for me ! Thank you guys
