UA-cam randomly showed me this channel. I listened to part of Lisa’s talk and some of this one and I can only ask: how does studying 4D shapes or confirming if two shapes are the same, topologically help the world? I understand there’s a lot of passion here. Is this more of a hobby subject? Or can it be applied to a greater purpose? I mean no disrespect. Im genuinely curious and obviously not a mathematician. But I would appreciate a genuine, non- mathematician type answer. The internet is already full of mathematician centric answers why topology is important and it does not answer my question.

spacetime and quantum fields
bunch of geographical stuff fs
❤❤❤ love the lecture
Distributed_PoC.
Underlining for good measure, but yeah.
Dr. Lisa definitely studies topologies high. Excuse me, I meant she studies high topologies.
Thanks.

I doubt these scholars ever seen the next dimension which is next to us all the time....too many academic rubbish exist
