Love this song. I love how he first say Girl I am just thinking about our options then later on in the song he says*I never should have said we got other options*! This really means something! Love it when a man make the song cry!!!!!
Ok, ok, ok, I get it. He is singing about an unplanned pregnancy and not knowing what to do about it. We got options is questioning okay what do we do about it. Deep. I love Luke he is just so damn deep. While everybody else is delivering shallow material he goes all in and deals with a very real issue. Abortion ain't no joke and young folk need to be more responsible. Love him.
Reminds me of a poem I read from the unborn baby's perspective listening to her/his mother crying and lamenting over whether or not to keep her/him... i believe they feel all the stress and anxiety in their mother's body. That and seeing pictures of aborted babies from certain procedures with half their heads caved in from sodium based poisons that burned it off and realizing that they had to have felt some of that torturous pain just solidified my stance on giving them a chance once they're consensually conceived.
Wow this song is just being slept on, it's a great song to break up to, it's a great song after Valentine's Day when you should of took the cheaper option of buying flowers instead of getting a diamond ring and a down payment on a car then find out she was 2 timing you, this did not happen to me but I know somewhere it's happening
Just saying use a condom if you can't find one then use a trash bag, you see the glad commercial, comes with a drawstring and a guarantee the bag won't break and you get like 40 for like 15 and you can't beat that it's a win win for everyone
I think it is especially looking at the video. This couple is going through something and its deciding if they are going to abort. And at the end, he seems to be leaning more towards not doing so. In this case, I think the song is powerful because no one talks about abortions. And the only line that gives you this insight is "so maybe taking life is not an option". Can't wait to see the official video. Luke james directed it. 😊😊😊
In my opinion, this song is just underated...

Lol that's just an option
Am I the only one who caught that shower rod part when rick was rapping
I caught that too. Lol
Luke James - Options (Lyric Video Clip Premiere) ) (Explicit) ft. Rick Ross
Man..abortion is the last option you should make. I'm glad he saw how big the consequences of this action really are.
Reminds me of Frank Ocean music
this sounds heavily influenced by Frank Ocean especially the first verse.
This is true but they've both been producing music with this sound for years so Idk if its intentional.
they both from New Orleans, so yeah.
Gabriele Jackson so is August Alsina, I don't see your point.
Yeah @Selecao_no9 I actually thought this song had a frank ocean feel to it.
Wish there was a version without Rick Ross in it. Just ruins the song for me...
There is a version without him. Just hard to find.
there is an mp3 version... I downloaded it on my phone.
Haha. So true!
AJ Jones Yeah, found it! It was the Wolfjames version.
KrimsonApoLLo cool! Are you enjoying it?
