God has lead me this month to study in the Holy Spirit and I am so thankful for your teaching. Can’t wait to finish this series and check out your other videos ❤️
Many think that prophecy is specifically to edify, exhort and comfort. It is to be delivered that way, but the word prophecy means a foretelling of future events. Wisdom is described in job 33:33 as ‘skilled in war’. Meaning that the process of planning how to capture or defeat your enemy takes wisdom. It can be thought of as insight and the ability to presume the enemy’s attack, and this is where many get the idea that wisdom is seeing the future.
How do you get that "a word of wisdom" is predictive of a future event. I mean from the actual scripture? I was always taught that Solomon's wisdom in deciding between the two mother's over the dead and live baby was an example of a "a word of wisdom" ..nothing predictive in that. Just seeking biblical sources that's all.
Word of wisdom doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s a future event, wisdom is knowing that something will or has happened. When the Holy Spirit comes upon you and you build up the power of Christ you will notice that those thoughts aren’t yours and that you are knowing things that no one else’s knows.
@@janrayerafols6819 that depends on whether its a revelation of what's going to happen in the future OR a revelation of what God wants in the future that we by faith brings forth. E.g.. Jesus deliberately went around fulfilling the prophets words.
I see it like this Wisdom comes from God. God has shown me future events that came to pass. It’s definitely not me. It’s God sharing His wisdom. The only one who knows the future is God.
I'm looking at Romans 4:17 and I'm confused by what you said it tells us. That section is talking about the faith of Abraham in the promise God made him and God can call things into existence. How is that verse saying we've been given the ability to call things as they are meant to be?
How do you know if one word is from God or if it's from your imagination or the adversary? I had this happen twice to me. The first time was the word "Deception," and the second one was the word "Cursed." I don't know what to think about this as a new believer.
Thank you pastor. A pastor invited my wife and I infront of our congregation and foretold that the Lord will open 2 doors and move us to a new town within the next 7 months. We prayed about it and we, that's my wife and I, we are in agreement with it, but still it did not happen yet. Must we still continue in.pray en trust and wait for the Lord to reveal it and come through for us?
Wow, it's a pretty bold claim to say we can speak things into existence like God does.. then to prove that claim with a scripture that only says God speaks things into existence. How does that make sense?? It says nothing that you say it did so why give the reference at all?
I was reading the Pentecostal scholar Dr.Gordon Fee today, he gives a good case that Paul used the term "word of wisdom" as a borrowed term from the Corinthians from 1 Corinthians 1:17 that Paul deliberately didnt preach the gisprl using because they didnt have the Spirit then. i checked it out and the Greek words are the same. Fee says the word of wisdom is "the recogition that tge message of Christ crucified is Gods true wisdom". and in a footnote he equates Pentecostal so called "word of wisdom/knowledge" as revelation (1 Corinthians 14:6) which is probably a better description of how it comes.
The very definition of prophecy is the foretelling g of future events. It operates in the confines of edification, exhortation and comfort, but being encouraging isn’t prophetic.
I've been given some kind of revelation from God. No message was given to me, but I was warned about certain future events. By your definition, Word of Wisdom is what that would be. You seem to have a working understanding of the nature of these gifts. However, I would think you have it opposite. Prophecy would be the fortelling or warning of the future, and Word of Wisdom would be giving others a message from God. However I have attended cessationist churches for my entire life so I don't really have the working understanding that you do. Thank you for doing this video!
@Mark Ridlen thank you for the comment. I’m glad to know you are operating in this gift. If you watch the video I made on Gift of Prophecy (ua-cam.com/video/0l1M8UdK_no/v-deo.html) I answer your exact question of what the gift of prophecy actually is and why it’s not the knowing of future events. Be BLESSED!
Neal Reyes is correct. Prophecy is not basically telling the future....or predicting..... Prophecy....1Cor. 14:3 But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort... Thanks to our Teacher N R and Glory to God...
praise Jesus, I'm a Bishop in Kenya, East Africa and have liked your teachings about the gift of the Holy spirit.
Thank you Bishop Mala.

@Doreen Okorodudu thank you!
I learned about this gift a little differently. I learned that it was supernatural wisdom for the moment or situation.
Yes I was taught the same as you

@@janrayerafols6819 Yes I mixed up wisdom and knowledge my apologies, I’m still learning too.

good job sir keep up the Good job
i disagree w not being able to activate gifts at will. i activated the gift of prophecy at will by asking god to give me a word of prophecy

I’m so confused 🤷♀️
Pastor, can you explain what you meant by Romans 4:17 in relates to a warning that came through a word of wisdom.
So we need to start growing fruits and vegetables to have food and reject the mark of the beast.

Yup
Pray for validation/verification.
Thats prophecy man. Predicting the future...
Yea
Prophecy is to be able to hear from God and sometimes predict the future. Thats what i learnt..
