He was trained by Jena Antonucci and has raced for Blue Rose Farm, and was bred in Kentucky, United States by Don Alberto Corporation. Boy, I miss Arcangelo. I was sure he would win the BC. I just loved his races. He got out of surgery okay and is in Ky. at stud. I can't wait to see his kids.
Gets better every start and his latter the Belmont and Travers were awesome. Reminds me of his dad!!

Arcangelo breaks maiden, wins the Peter Pan, wins the Belmont Stakes, wins the Travers Stakes. Now considered best 3 year old dirt horse in North America. Next stop likely the BC Classic.
Hopefully he will live longer than his father.

Thanks, good race but I really thought Forte was going to come and get him at the end. He disappeared from the screen and then there he was still trying his heart out.
@@nothumbs12gaming79 I thought Forte was the best horse but I bet Arcangelo and caught some breaks. Great ride by Castellano to stay on the rail and save horse. Caught the break with Tapit Shoes challenging National Treasure to tire him out and National Treasure riding off the rail which left it open. Also caught a break with Prat taking Angel 4 wide for most of the race which I thought was a bad ride. I watched this video last night and read your comment and sensed there would be enough speed to help Arcangelo
how could you not love this. it proves that you do not need a million dollars horse to win the big one. ebbert buys arcangelo as a yearling for $35,000 when he was only 14 months old. by the grace of god ebbert meets antanucci by accident just 24 hours before the purchase at the yearling sale. he calls her after the purchase and asks her if she wants to be the trainer for arcangelo. the marriage is born. arcangelo the son of the great arrogate who has left earth way too soon and grandson of the strong tapit has now won 4 in a row. arcangelo is one very tough horse. he must be thinking well all i have to do is run faster than my buddies and i get extra affection from my humans and bonus peppermints. what great days for everyone involved with arcangelo.

Could someone tell the announcer how to pronounce the Archangelo!! Very weird to distort the name so badly.
Need not worry. Larry Collmus, John Imbriale and Travis Stone made up for that when it counted.

I was wrong, I didn't give this horse a chance and he won with my pick Forte just short. Arcangelo wasn't in my top 5
I would say Arcangelo is a good horse but not good enough to win against the horses he will meet in the Preakness or Belmont, although the Belmont distance might be better for him.
That's what they said about arrogate in the Travers
@@bnegs521 I don't claim to be a master of the sport I have been wrong more often than right and I'm not ashamed to admit it, I was 13 years old when I had my older brother bet on Ruffian in the big match race. I'm still convinced 50 years later she would have won.
@@jeffb5785 Horse racing is so unpredictable. Arcangelo could win Saturday or finish dead last. Either scenario is very possible.
@@bnegs521 I couldn't agree more, a few horses shocked me with how poorly they finished in the Derby. The horse I bet Kingsbarns of course disappointed me, Mage wasn't in my triple but Two Phils and Angel of Empire were.
@@jeffb5785 I really think Jeff if Johnny V was on Kingsbarns that is a totally different race for him. Ortiz ran a crap race. Johnny V knows how to run RATED fractions. That is what Bob is all about. Thats why Bob loves johnny V. That's why he loved Victor and Mike Smith. People aren't talking about National Treasure AGAIN here. I wont be surprised at the very end if he is still very much around.
