Common Mistakes with English ADJECTIVES 👉🏼 -ed and -ing endings
Вставка
- Опубліковано 28 вер 2024
- In this lesson we are going to look at pairs of adjectives that end with -ed and -ing
There are many English adjectives that have two forms - one that ends in -ed and one that ends in -ing
An adjective that ends in -ing is used to describe: the characteristic of a person, a thing or a situation.
For example: It is amazing, it is interesting, it is boring.
An adjective that ends in -ed is used to describe: a feeling or an emotion. It is used to describe a temporary thing.
If you say that something (or someone) is boring, that thing (or person) makes you feel bored!

Some people sucks.
For me it's rude to dislike. Any reason to dislike then write here and either criticise her or even correct. She is giving her best
Its because the background music is soooo cheesy.

I hope you answer me for this question:
Can you tell me what's the answer in the following sentence:
Money is not (required, requiring) for happiness.
Bus service is ( suspended, suspending) during storms.
I'm so confused about the last sentences because we don't describe the emotion and that means we should use the "ing adj" but in my school we wrote it with" ed adj"
Excellent video 👍👍👍👍 Thank you very much explaining out the difference!

Please tell some verb that uses preposition" to "along with itself why.
Ex. Lead to, listen to etc.
👨🏻🏫 Hello, Amit. Mr Teacher here in England 🏴. I have an answer to your question. The preposition ‘to’ indicates what the verb is intended to mean. Your example 1 is used in this form: ‘Lead me to the exit of the caves.’ Show me the way out. Example 2 looks like this: ‘Listen to your teacher when she is explaining the lesson.’ Listen to the orchestra at a concert. Go to the concert. I hope this is helpful for you.
Thanks a lot . This film is very interesting and amazing !
Glad you enjoyed it! ❤
Thank you so much for teaching us
It's my pleasure!
I'm so excited about your lecture. Thanks
for spanish speakers that's easy: -ing for "ser" and -ed for "estar"
Excellent lesson!
Thank you!
