Beauty and the Beast / Bhutanese Shortfilm

This short film titled "BEAUTY and the BEAST" is an educational and a narrative fiction in the hope to enrich and enhance an inclusive society that recognizes, respects and promotes the rights and needs of all persons with Disabilities. The
same is projected to promote physical,psychological and socio economic wellbeing of persons with disabilities through inclusion and empowerment. Additionally ,it is intended to bring a positive change in people's attitude and behaviour towards people living with disabilities. To spice up a film grandeur, there are two songs of which is a tribute to His Majesty The King. This 45mins film "BEAUTY and the BEAST"is about a physically challenged
person known to all as Asha Namgay. The story revolves around lead character Asha Namgays short span of live that he choose to live in Thimphu city with his only friend who's is a monk. Asha Namgay has one problem that is his physical disability but his only desire is how to cure the mental disability of the community he is leaving in. The whole story is woven in these two dialogues of Asha Namgay. "When human act with cruelty, we characterize them as BEAST, yet the only beast that displays cruelty is HUMANITY"
