- The battle for who governs Lagos state for the next four years is raging.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is seeking re-election for a second term but he is being challenged by candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party and the Labour Party, Olajide Adeniran and Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour.
All three candidates have been campaigning and canvassing for votes and all is set for an epic battle on Saturday.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu says he is confident of victory at the poll.

Sanwo Olu is a good governor and a good man, humble too. I like Sanwo Olu. I feel bad that he will become collateral damage in the war against the APC. I wish Sanwo was in the Labour Party and not so closely associated with Tinubu. Perhaps the best compromise is for Labour to take the House of Assembly and leave Sanwo Olu in place. But it looks like the Obidients are determined to vote Labour from top to bottom. There is anger in the land. Then INEC has made the matter worse by being evasive, which is a big issue.

Sanwolu best performance for me was during the Covid-19 pandemic. His entanglement with APC establishment in Lagos has made it difficult for him. He has not done well in other areas.

The Sam is such a clown. You guys forgot that the southeasterners voted for Sanwo-Olu in 2019 and that was why Sanwo-Olu performed way better than Buhari then. His problem is he has resorted to politics of hate and tribalism and that will contribute to his doom. More Yorubas voted for Labour Party and it’s obvious. Sanwo-Olu might be a good but he has not performed, people are trying to free themselves from the shackle of one man. Those advising the governor to play this tribal card are deceiving him.
