Jordyn Poulter (born July 31, 1997) is an American professional women's volleyball player and current member of the United States women's national volleyball team. Her position is setter and she played for University of Illinois from 2015-2018.
Early life
Poulter attended Eaglecrest High School in Aurora, Colorado. She was the No. 3 nationally ranked recruit coming out of high school, was regarded as the top setter in the nation in her class, and won several state and national awards, including the Andi Collins award for the best setter in the country. She totaled 2,529 assists, 716 kills, 664 digs, 385 blocks and 208 aces over 101 high school matches.
Career
Illinois
Poulter's was recruited by several top college volleyball teams, with her final two choices being UCLA and Illinois, ultimately committing to Illinois as between her freshman and sophomore years in high school.
She was a two time All-American and was named the Big Ten Setter of the Year during her senior season, and led Illinois to a Final Four appeareance.
Professional & US National Team
She currently plays professionally for Italian club volleyball team, Busto Arsizio Volley.
She began training with the senior US National Team in the summer of 2018, while she was still in college. She was part of the team that won a gold medals in the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League tournament, as well as the 2019 Women's Pan-American Volleyball Cup. In May 2021, she was named to the 18-player roster for the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League.
On June 7, 2021, US National Team head coach Karch Kiraly announced she would be part of the 12-player Olympic roster for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. She was named "Best Setter" at the conclusion of the tournament.

If you love Volleyball you should respect Volleyball players! She is a Setter of Volleyball USA team in Olympic this year and they took Gold medal back home 🥇 👏👏 And this is The first Gold medal of Women’s volleyball USA team in Olympic. And she deserves it!

In the gold medal match she set the Brazilians out of their shorts. Of course Barch-Hakleys passing was truly amazing.
