Day two with Jasmin aboard (from This Narrowboat Adventure, link below) and we headed up from Stone through Stoke on Trent. There are several rather deep locks to traverse but the day was fine and we stopped to pick some towpath damsons as we went along.

Three years later, just as enjoyable as the day you first posted it! Thank you for this, David; it's great to escape to the beautiful waterways of Britain, complete with ducks, damsons, and damsels! We've nothing like it over here on the left side of the pond.

Buy the house and moor the boat. Then rent the house😉
I'm blown away by the canal system you have over there. Physically I wouldn't be able to work the locks but very much enjoy the (video) ride. The history behind a lot of what you pass really gets the imagination going. I love trains too.

Well, it took 2 months, but I've finally caught up to you. Thank you for allowing me to experience what canal boating is like, albeit from half a world away. It is the kind of life I dreamed of when younger, growing up in the Puget Sound area in Washington state. Even in my late 50's I still dreamed of owning a sailboat and mooring it at the marina near my home for day trips on the sound and on the Strait of Juan de Fuca. But then I read "Passage to Juneau" by Jonathan Raban and by the end of the book, knew sailing wasn't for me. There were simply too many uncertainties with tides and currents, mooring etc., even though boat life still appeals to an introverted curmudgeon like me. All the best to you David and thanks again for the ride along!

Hi David, I wish you a lot of success with your lottery ticket. And if, I hope you though will continue making vlogs. And my compliments to Yasmin. The longer hair suits her very well.

Loved that drone or high bit at 10:30, i know is a hassle but i think a small easy to use drone could give you some options, not overdoing just a few shots here and there.
