Thanks dude! Hope you like the Castor, its a good sounding and really inexpensive IEM and can get reeaaally bassy with the switches.

Hey, one more nice video there.
This is exactly the video i needed 2 months ago XD
If I still didn't bought iems I would probably choose Tangzu Fudu, but I ended up buying the Letshuoer S12 Pro :)
At one point you talked about the sound clarity of the S12 Pro and I can completely confirm that (when gaming), I'm currently playing through the Metroid Prime trilogy and the music/atmosphere in the game is on a completely different level now.
All in one, thank you for help and recommendation in earlier videos, it helped me a lot

Haha yeah damn I got carried away a little bit because of work and other hobbies but now the reviews are coming one after another!
And I promise I read your other comment and wanted to answer haha. Glad you like the S12 Pro. Its kind of the base line about what a planar magnetic driven IEM is for not so much money, good and bad. Deep bass with good clarity in all frequencies, but the treble can be a bit exhausting/artificial (but everyone is different here). I've been looking at the new Hidizs MP 145, which gets pretty good reviews from everyone and their mother. Maybe later haha.
Man I haven't played a Metroid game in a looooong time. You're playing on Steam/PC or console?
And thank you so much for your compliment, really appreciate it and I am glad I could be of help. :)

I also compared the Hidizs with the S12Pro, but the price difference was little too much for me. I actually play Metroid on a modded Wii U, where i can use some graphic patches so that the old Wii games look a little better (pixelated but sharp) + it is upscaled to 1080p by the Wii U

Good review. I already have the Fudu and just ordered the Melody. The treble is a concern with the melody, but I wasnt that satisfied with the way the Fudu sounded. I liked that it had a smooth treble, but it felt a bit distorted when I turned up the volume a bit. Also wanted to try a planar.
Any idea how the treble sharpness compare to the EM6L?

Can you update me with thoughts once you get your melody? Thanks

      Thank you!
So I do not have the EM6L, but looking at the graph the Simgot seems to be smoother. With the Melody it highly depends on the track. With most songs treble was also quite okay and nicely elevated within the darker tuning but not annoying. Than there is the occasional song where it somehow jumps at you and can be really bothersome if youre sensitive there. So its more unevenly tuned and some weirdness. Again the EM6L seems to have more of a consistent light elevation with not many peaks that should work more evenly when listening to music.
Both of these definently have more energy in the mid/upper treble than the Fudu (so they sound airier).
Edit: The Melody is really bass heavy, so if you want to try a more "planar-like-clarity" with smooth treble take a look at the Hidizs MP 145. Its pretty chunky regarding comfort, but seems to be quite well tuned.

@@absolutelyaverageaudioreviews thank you for the detailed comparison. Right now in my country, the Melody is roughly half the cost of the mp145. So I decided to yolo it and just get the Melody for now. The EM6L tamed down nicely with the Spinfit W1 tips so I'm hoping I'll be able to do the same with the Melody.
I am mainly getting it for some casual immersive gaming which sounds a bit different than the EM6L. The Fudu sounds similar to the EM6L but inferior in terms of clarity , layering and Soundstage, so I wanted a complimentary set.

@@littletweeter1327 Been an hour with the Melody. I used the Tangzu Divinus tips which are neutral in terms of bass and treble, and I can definitely say it's less peaky than EM6L.
But keep in mind I've read that for planars, the source may make a bigger difference and my source is a warm-sounding iFi Zen DAC v1.

Not sure if you’ve tried them, but I have EA500LM’s and I absolutely love them. I’m looking for something that has great detail like them but is a bit more relaxed. So these two iem’s caught my eye. I was wondering if there were some more I should consider? Size is a factor too, i have somewhat small ears

    • @absolutelyaverageaudioreviews

Actually just got the 500LM! Preparing a review/comparison with the new Kiwi Ears Singolo which I also bought.
So the Fudu is okay in technicals, but the Melody is better because it has better treble extension (planar treble doing its thing). Midrange is more present on the Fudu though, Melody sounds somewhat darker. But both are pretty bass heavy IEMs so it will be departure from the EA500LM. The Fudu is smaller, but both are really comfortable and not big. It really comes down to you wanting a more present sounding midrange (so most instruments and vocals are louder) or a more V-shape, so more mid/upper treble and a smooth but kinda dark rest. Works well with electronic stuff.
The Singolo I mentioned is also quite nice, nice clean bass and flat midrange with relaxed but not dark treble. People seem to have issues with its fit and shape, but weirdly it fits my ears really well.
The EM6L seems to be a bit more relaxed than the 500LM but kinda similar, have you looked at that?
There is also the 7hz Sonus, which is more neutral sounding with detailed midrange and treble but less brightness than the EA500LM. Its pretty chunky though, but still okay for me.
I also though about the Hidizs MP145 because that one would fit with your preferences, but its huuuuge and comfort can easily be an issue here.
The Moondrop Aria 2 could also be a good compromise between detail and brightness, also have that one here and recording a video. Its not really laid back, but does not sound harsh to me. Technicals seem fine. Its a bit heavy (metal shell), but comfort is okay, not a big IEM. Its abit too expensive for what it is, but worth a look.
Edit: I missed the Truthear Hexa, which is also more neutral like the 7hz Sonus but not harsh or sibilant sounding. Nice detail and midrange. Also pretty small, so comfort should be fine here.

Right now its a Hidizs xo for IEMs or my SSL Logic 2+ interface for higher impendence stuff, but I will buy a FiiO K7 in the next months for desktop use I think.

What iem is your choice under 100$?

If I could only choose one of the ones I Iistened to? Would be a battle between the Truthear Hexa or Tangzu Fudu. I also like the Simgot EA500LM (really tight and clean sound), but I guess I would choose the Fudu over the other two because if I can only have one, I wanna have one with a bit more bass and good mids, and the Fudu does both quite well for me.

Depression needs a voice too. But I never imagined how it would sound. I gladly synchronize sad characters in movies if my voice is that special.
