    That's the scariest thing that can happen flying fpv. Video cuts out randomly when flying. And it's happened to me about 5 or 6 times. Mostly caused by a loose wire or jst plug. Then you don't trust your quad anymore for a while. It just sucks so much.

    • @TheCivildecay
      @TheCivildecay Рік тому

      yup I had the same with my skyzone 03O goggels.. it would just shut down mid flight from time to time (the motion detection was broken, and it would go into sleep mode after awhile because it didn;t detect any motion)

      @TheCivildecay oh damn. I have the same goggles. I hope this never happens to me lol. That sucks I'm sorry. My 03o have been great so far. I wanna get the 04x I think it's called the newest ones they make but they're so expensive. Goggles are the most expensive part of this hobby which sucks.

    The Avatar goggles had a reboot problem when they were released. I have to wonder if this contributed to that. The original issue seemed pretty random. This should give us at least several months of watching really smart people argue over who is at fault.

      Yeah, if only 2.4 GHz LoRa had the same penetration as 900 MHz. When flying in the mountains Crossfire is much more forgiving when descending accidentally out of LOS.

    • @breakflight

      @@disco.volante everything else being equal, 900mhz will have better penetration and a slower rate. For how I fly, 2.4 ghz has more than enough penetration for me, but I'm keeping my crossfire in the drawer in case my situation changes.

    I have had this for months and couldn't figure out why. Never while flying always while setting up and the cable would touch the Tango. Drove me mad and I thought I had to return my goggles. Until I finally figured it out about a month ago. I use a head pack now for my goggles.

    Don't be afraid of Crossfire's pure power that's all it is TBS power, maybe I have never had this problem because I run my power cable down inside my shirt to my pocket and also, I don't fly with my radio touching my goggles. (pure crossfire power)

    I'm so glad to learn this information! Every few times I would walk back from the starting blocks with my goggles powered up my battery cable would bump my crossfire antenna and when I get back to the Flight line my goggles would be hung up on the start screen and I'd have to reboot and I was like what is going on! Now It all makes sense.
    I found some tinned copper braided wire shielding sleeve ground straps that you just slip over your existing goggle battery DC cable and am thinking of just trying that. It lists as blocking EMI RFI and ESD interference. Thoughts on using something like this?

    hmm..i kept having issues with my walksnail video signal basically halving whenever a friend of mine would come out and fly with me.. i am on ELRS and he is on crossfire.. we kept thinking it was just our walksnail systems interfering with each other even tho where were on complete opposite ends of the channel band.. and when he would be powered down he always commented on how far i could fly with my walksnail compared to him.. this COULD have been the issue all along and we just never thought about crossfire being the culprit.. 800-900mhz band was always difficult to tame with spurious emissions

    I tested this on the original shark bite goggle module that was sold. Connected to a pair of HDO2's it kicks the module off, but the goggles stay powered up, so the HDZero system comes right back. It also does it with the original power cable that shipped with the goggle module. And the 18650 battery case, with a barrel cord connected to the balance plug of the battery case.

      @@Magneticitist yea, there are scenario’s though. The real thing to note is the power cable. You really should never have your goggles that close to the RC but people may accidentally get close in flight and it could cause a reboot.
