Thanks for posting this. I was born and raised in Cincinnati, so I saw both Al Shottlekotte and Kash Amburghy (?)on TV many times a week. This was a bittersweet slice of my childhood.
Al Schottlekotte (no chance of me spelling that). I was so young when he was on the air, i would have sworn he was 100 years old. Now I am probably older than he was in this clip … he doesn’t look so bad lol. It’s all relative.
Nice memories! Kash's commercials were always entertaining! :-)

My grandfather knew Kash a little bit. He took a trip with him and brought back photos.
Two memories from my time in Oxford, Ohio (MIami U.) from '70-'74:Al Schottelkotte on Channel 9 and ole' Kash all over the TV and radio...
What a character! Selling TVs: “We’ve got the portables, we’ve got the big portables, we’ve got the big, big portables!
What a great man!
What a blast from the past! Al and Kash's Big Bargain Barn.
Love this!!

Anyone remember The Big Show a late night variety show? The opening was the riverfront Cincinnati Ohio River ??
Definitely remember that, too.
Remember this well.
Remember, If Kash does not sell, momma does not eat, so get on down here to Kash's Bargain Barn in South Lebanon, Ohio
If you live in Kentucky and come up to Kash's Bargain Barn, you dont pay Kentucky sales tax, so get on down here where Kash is King.
