I stumbled upon this song randomly and fell in love with it This song holds a special place in my heart since the lyrics are super relatable June 28th 2014 my family and I were in a horrible roll over car accident that ended up taking my fathers life right in front of me Me being only 9 at the time i didnt understand what was happening and why he wasnt waking up, me and my sister were taken to our grandparents house and both of us cried our hearts out for god to spare his life. After he died I really didnt know what to believe in anymore and went through lots of hardships from then on it just hit the eight year marker a couple days ago and the pain still feels raw even after all these years. This song saved my life a couple times so thank you benson for all you do you help those around you without even having to meet them.
I don't know about you, but listening to him sing the words of this song just brings tears to my eyes. His ability to engage and connect with his listeners at an emotional level is just amazing. I guess all of us have lost someone very dear to us before and we can all relate to this song. This song reminds me that life is short too, and we have to cherish the people whom we love and care about as much as we can.
this song is so heartbreakingly beautiful! after loosing my twin boys as stillbirth, the lyrics really hit home for me... especially the "6 feets never felt so far" and "you took the best of my heart, and left the rest in pieces" ... favourite song by far!!!!
This song makes me so emotional. My granny died at the end of 2019 and I feel like she took all of me when she died. It's the one loss I've been through I don't think I'll ever get over.
One of my best friends growing up just passed at age 16. We grew up together by going to church almost every Sunday together for 8 years. This song has made me feel so heard because well, we always hung out at church and especially “you did your hair up like you were famous” hit hard because he loved his hair. He was constantly touching it and playing with it. I’ve never missed anyone this much in my life. Thank you Benson
I lost my grandmother May 12, 2017 (7 days after mt birthday) to lung cancer. She was my best friend. She basically raised me. I loved her so much! She always had my back. I miss her so much! This song hits hard! Especially after hearing it's about losing his grandmother.
My mom passed and it was the hardest on my oldest daughter! This song is heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. My daughter feels so close to this song too because my mom always would say "Love you to the stars".
I can actually relate to this song a lot. Recently my great grandma passed away and I still have all of her beautifully written birthday cards. Crazy how $20 can mean so much.
This hits me in my gut every time I play this song. It’s been 3 years since losing my Grandpa (my everything) and I still cry at least three times a week. This song has actually brought me a sense of peace and calmness that I can’t explain and I will be forever grateful for this ❤️
The first time I heard this song I bawled my eyes out. My cousin died almost 3 years ago by suicide. It was a shock to the when family and it was so hard to try and feel better after that
My mawmaw passed away the beginning of this month and we decided to play this at her service, such a beautiful song. I feel like it perfectly describes the pain and love my family feels for my mawmaw. This song has been on repeat since she passed.
This is one of the most beautiful and heartbreaking songs i have ever heard in my life. The lyricism and the raw emotion in his voice touches the deepest parts of your heart. Hard to believe this guy is “new to songwriting” because the sheer talent is incomprehensible.
My great grandma passed away too a few years ago and I also called he gg for great grandma and I was really close to her and I missed her soo much and I cried so much I still cry and this song makes me feel more close to her so thank you
Wow this hits harder hearing he wrote it about his great grandma that passed. I just heard this song a few days ago, only a week a bit after my nan passed away.

I lost my grandma when I was 13 years old and 3 months before my grade 8 graduation and now I'm 18 and graduating high school.
