Heaven Help Me, this song... I'm 56, lost my job, worked with the company for over 20 years, no idea what to do now. I am praying for direction, trying not to panic. All I can get out of my mouth sometimes is, Jesus. My faith is not strong. Praying that God helps me focus on him, not the storm, help me to build on my relationship with God. Experiencing so many emotions, disbelief, sadness, anger, more sadness and shock than anything else. Praying that God helps me to take a breath, focus on him, nurture my faith. Love this song. I can totally relate. The same happened to me 8 years ago . I prayed a bold prayer and asked the Lord to open and close doors as He sees fit and to place me in the job He has for me . I now have the best job ever serving the Lord . The salary offered was nowhere near what I was making but I trusted God that He would provide. I have not gone hungry and all my bills are paid . Trust Him with your future . His ways are higher .

I was also laid off 4 yrs back and i was in shock. It all turned out for my good since i got a better position and God restored all i had lost and even more. Trust God he will restore what the locust (devil) has eaten from our fields.

I was just thinking more about this sermon. About the Samaritan Leper. Trying to put myself in his shoes why he was the only one who came back. Probably exactly what you said... the other 9 were jews.. so they would expect their King of the Jews, to heal them.... they couldn't see past the physical healing. The Samaritan, didn't think he was worthy, didn't think the King Of The Jews, would heal a Samaritan unclean leper like him. But with faith the size of a mustard seed, desperate, doubting, but still with small hope and small faith, he went anyway. And when he went and became healed, I think he was so overwhelmed that someone from a complete different status in that day and age, would help him, the unclean Samaritan Leper... when even his own ppl wouldn't/couldn't help. I think he truly felt the mercy Jesus showed him, and grace! He was so overwhelmed w those feelings and being grateful, he just had to go back! Being so renewed! Maybe being so low, made him realize, how high Jesus brought him up.. not other ppl, or priest's, not himself, but Jesus.
It is interesting that he didn't ask Jesus, "Why?". I feel like I would!
