I love these old movies, because I don't have to use closed caption. They speak plainly enough that even with hard hearing I can understand what they're saying!
The horse Slim pickins rode in this western was his own named little John. The horse was old thunder in the big country. Slim doubled for Gregory Peck in the bucking scene because he didn’t like anyone else riding him
Thank you for sharing this wonderful Blessing thank you universe for your inspiring words thank you my lord for all your wonderful prayers praise God Amen
Excellent horse riding skills and fantastic riding skills shown. A wonderful movie. I wonder how they manage such herd of horses. Beautiful movie. I could watch it a hundred times ❤❤😊
Nothing like watching a good western from the mid 40' to mid 70's. Too bad they don't make good western likr those anymore because there aren' any good western stears anumore.
I don't agree, 1) Tombstone, Kurt Russel and a wonderful cast. 2) Wyatt Earp Kevin Costner and a lot of talented stars as well. 3) Open Range Kevin Costner again and riding with Robert Duvall, how bout Lonesome Dove with Robert Duvall again and Tommy Lee Jones? Or Dances with Wolves with again Kevin Costner and Graham Green etc etc etc. Much better acting across the board and a bit more realistic look at the west and conflicts between man. Speaking of conflicts between man how bout Quigley Down Under?
Santa Fe Passage 1955 Rod Cameron, Faith Domergue, and John Payne Slim Pickens in Santa Fe Passage (1955) A disgraced Indian scout and his partner are hired to escort a wagonload of guns through Indian territory.
Fine movie. Thanks. Many popular westerns used Snow Canyon, Utah, for location filming. It is located near the cities of Ivins and St. George in Washington County.
The main enemies of the Comanches were the Pawnees, Osages, Arapaho, and Apaches. Although the five Comanche bands were independent of one another, they often came together to fight a common enemy (as was the case with many battles against the Apaches, who sought to gain land, horses, and captives).

Why Mexican rich people couldn't order stuff from Europe and arrived it by ships instead of going to US with all these troubles ? guess story is flawed
Santa Fe is closer to Saint Louis than Mexico City. And Mexico City is not very close to Vera Cruz, the major mecican harbour on the east coast... That's why the Santa Fe Trail was pioneered by Missouri trader William Becknell, who left Franklin, Missouri in September 1821...
I think it’s time to edit out one of the most racist scenes ever included in any western genre film. This film could start with the covered wagon scene instead. We don’t need the chasing down the Native American to smash him in the head as a premise to this drama, and as a first visual image to contend with. This director lacked discretion. There’s plenty of straight out racist dialogue throughout the film. This first scene is riveting but disgusting.
You just cannot beat the good old westerns, they are in a class of their own.

Absolutely and this is nothing like a good western. Despite the very good cast it's just total rubbish.

John payne is wonderful. This movie is wonderful. Especially wild horse's sprints
1:11. "Don't like him. Stink to much like dead Buffalo"
Had me in tears!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Santa Fe Passage (1955) A scout (John Payne) guides a couple's (Faith Domergue, Rod Cameron) wagon train of guns and ammo through Indian country.

They made war on the Lipan Apaches for a hundred years.
Outstanding movie, thanks
The name of the movie is: Santa Fe Passage
1955 ‧ Western/Action ‧ 1h 31m, so why is mentioned different on the video?! Any reasons?!😢
My guess would be avoiding copyright infringement
Great movie. Enjoyed it to the end. Thank you. ❤
A great story with a really top cast thank yOu for this mOvie ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
very good, thank you.
It's not a full movie, there are no credits
These guys sure know how to ride horses 🤠
Not all actors were good horsemen, outside of Ben Johnson and a few.
The rest were pretty hard on their butts and the horses mouths.
@@OliverDasGupta-fi1nb
Slim Pickens was a rodeo champion...
So good horses running so fastest in Cowboy film , thanks for fun 👍🏻🙏🕶⚘😂
Correction Santa Fe Passage.

In the UK the word slim pickings means broke no cash lol
Don’t I know it !!
It means the same in the USA. I believe it's just a stag name.
His name was Louis Lindsey or Lindy... something like that. He started in rodeos. He was on my radio show if Fort Worth. 1868ish.
enjoyed thnx
The American entertainment industry always portrays American Indians in as "expendable" people, even Walt Disney.
Not always
Gregory Peck is NOT in this movie!!!
John Payne is.
Good. ❤
Warpath! Wagon train!!! And trick's? The end??? Roa Aotearoa nui.
use a dead guy to 'drive' the wagon but leave his eyes closed.??
Soup for red indians
Is she the sister of Steve Lukhater ?
Why do they.
Just because, ;
A pretty rough movie.
Slim Pickens was his usual reliable self, and the rest, meh!

Ok, just a little predictable.
Whis is exactly what it should be. People need as many happy endings as they can get these days.
Americans speak, kind of different from UK English
No comparison between the American southern drawl and the king's English...
Ya' reckon??
@@aav4bz yes
It's called American English. And that comes with different colloquialisms and accents.
Slims real name was Louis Lindsey or something similar.

A lot of times it was to feed the Revolution so ports and main entrances were covered.

Why in almost all Western movies Apaches are ahown in Bad light ....seems native indians were biggest villians
That is how they have always been portraited.

Everywhere in the world the winners write the history. Rarely are the losers shown in a good light.
😮 that's to hide the truth of how the government was
Not Apaches in this movie, Kiowa, a warrior society that lived by a warfare mentality, as most tribes did.
This acting is so bad.
So don't watch.

Aw did it hurt your feelings?
I didn't see any racism at all Scot, ...just your comments.
@@dimboolabladeworks7927 It's ALWAYS at least 1, isn't it? I guess he believes that this was filmed in 2024
The good guy even spit on the Native American after he whacked him. Now that's racism.
God he is lucky I'm not there he would get his comeuppance
Top Western ... enjoyed viewing many times ⏲️ 😅😅😅😅😅
