We just spent 6 weeks in NZ and it was AMAZING! Coromandel was one of my favorite spots in the North Island! We went to the Cathedral Cove for sunrise and we were surprised at how many people were there. Great video guys!

I like all the seashells on the beach! Cathedral Cove looks so awesome! nice drone shots. the water looks so clear. The farm looks like a cool place to stay!

Yeah that AirBnB was a really chilled out, off the beaten path, kinda place to stay.
The guy that owned it too, such an amazing guy with plenty of stories to tell.
The beach is so beautiful and I am fascinated by the hot water never heard of that before. Plus you have some really pretty shells
Hi Two Traveling Texans, yeah you're meant to dig into the hot water areas and then let the sea water mix in to get a good temperature.
Not quite sure how to do that when the tide is quite far out though! Haha
Wow! New Zealand has probably been on my top 10 list of places I want to visit... That drone footage is just out of this world! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Great video. Bring back such lovely memories. The drone footage is amazing! We're from NZ but haven't lived there for a long time. I remember my last visit to Cathedral Cove about 10 years ago and there were dolphins only a few meters off the beach! Keep the great videos coming.
Chasing a Plate ahh amazing, that would have made our trip there perfect, especially with the drone to capture them swimming!

Interesting. I've visited hot springs before, but never where they are coming up on a beach and people dig holes to relax in the warm waters. Fascinating.

We normally can't spend more than a few hours at any beach Feel Good Lost TRAVEL, we love to keep moving.... but we could have spent our whole day at that beach (we pretty much did)!

Awesome video, will be sure to wear flip flops (jandels) on hot water beach when Im there.
I know its a long time ago, but curious if you used an ND filter when taking video with the drone. As the sand is very overexposed.
Also, your video makes me wonder what the place would have looked like at sunrise.
Would love to check out hot water beach, but cathedral cove just looks incredibke. 😊 Loved the arial shots!

Glad you enjoyed it Travel in Twos. We hadn't stayed at an AirBnB before this trip but after 2 here and one in NY over Christmas, we'd definitely recommend it. Both this one and the one in Auckland were roughly £30 per night. So worth it!

Yeah I fell in love with Cathedral Cove and Mel fell in love with the AirBnB.
I've never heard of a hot water beach. Normally, hot water springs. Why is the water hot there? That tree house is amazing!
Not sure BangsBucketList, guessing it's coming from a spring above the beach and then filtering down. It was like boiled water though, sooo hot!
