Peter Parker the fact that kuwabara cried about never being able to fight him ever again and how unfair it was....that's what got me. I mean, after it all, yusuke was the closest thing he would have ever had to a brother.
Lon Bergen even rewatching the series from the first episode, you just feel even more of your heart sinking for characters like Kuwabara and Keiko, hell even Takanaka. It shows how much impact you have on people's lives and they'd terribly miss you if the worst happened. And mind you these are all people who were distant from Yusuke in his life, save for Keiko.

After the demon he was fused with killed his students he stopped living and was stuck in that moment until Yusuke finished him. Proving to Toguro that his choice to give up humanity and the pain that comes with it, entirely wrong.

Toguro used to be completely human, but he chose to become "an immortal demon" that wouldn't succumb to the ravages of old age upon winning the Dark Tournament with Genkai. That's the fight Genkai was referring to with that line. Genkai herself never gave up her humanity, even knowing that she would eventually grow old and die. Genkai was basically telling/warning Yusuke to never sacrifice his humanity.

My favorite usage of this song is the shortened version played during Raizen’s funeral. To me, it was a great way of conveying that Yusuke is finally at peace with his demon heritage.
I searched this particular BGM for so long. This was played many times in the Anime, I searched through all the released OSTs and was surprised how many tracks are missing on them. Glad that I finally found it.
I associate this piece with the scene where the stadium was burning down and Chizuru sought Sakyo out. The pathos of that era in the early 90's and the anime style... it all culminated when Sakyo tossed the lighter to her and she wept for this man for whom she couldn't resist the dark magnetism of.
Kuwabara's " death. " Every single time it gets me. He was just so good and kind. A true man. Strength is meaningless if you don't help people or have people you care about. In the end you just end up alone and miserable despite all your strength.

Then, Kuwabara finally manifested the Dimension Sword and broke himself, Hiei and Kurama out of Itsuki's territory...... .... Only for Sensui to fatally stab Yusuke in the heart as soon as his friends were about to reach him. And then seeing Kuwabara going through the stages of grief before accepting that Yusuke died. With this music playing in the background. Such a powerful, emotional and heartbreaking scene.
