Hi Jhordan! I live in a log house so I’m used to dealing with little scratches in the wood. One of the greatest inventions ever….Old English Scratch Remover! You will find it near the Pledge, etc. You can rub it all over your new vanity and it will cover all the little scratches in the wood. They sell it in light and dark. It may even tone down the red you’re not fond of. You just pour a little on a cloth and wipe away. Just thought I’d mention it to you. And love love how you’re mixing modern with vintage. 😊
If you want to paint the kitchen island table, I would suggest painting the bottom a fresh new coat of that off white cream colour and keeping the top as is. So it still has character.
I love this content. Slow decorating, slow anything is where it’s at. I’ve been slowly building my closet to be perfectly me and high quality and worthy of passing down to a daughter one day, and I can’t wait to do that with our furniture and decor once me and my husband move to the city we want to settle in. It’s so satisfying to slowly tick off your list with the absolute most perfect versions of the pieces you’ve been desiring, a quick fix really doesn’t hit the same.

Have you considered looking into peel and stick wallpaper as an option for breaking up the all white walls in your apartment? I hear it takes a bit of precision to get it right, but can really make a space look beautiful when done with care. Then, when you’re ready to move you just remove it with the heat of a blow dryer. No damage to the walls. 👍
How to soften white room, use peel and stick wallpaper. there's some beautiful beautiful ones on their. It's easy to remove . Nice pick ups kitcjen island wouldn't touch the top, and maybe look at D.I.Y Paint for bottom

Hello, Your video popped up on my screen so I happily watched. Couple ideas for you. In the bedroom where you were going to put a bookcase beside the door. Why not put two taller bookshelves on either side of the door(once you remove the mirror). t would balance the space and give you additional storage. You could then place an ornate brass or wood swag over the top of the door to pull it all together. Second idea, on the kitchen island, consider painting the scalloped portion the green color of your bedroom dresser, the top black and the bottom white. The fact that you love and appreciate vintage items makes me happy.

I would get a glass top from a window shop...that's what I did to my wood furniture to protect it. Wasn't expensive and the wood still shows through 😊
