Blitzball 1v1 Tournament Championship 2023

The Blitzball 1v1 Tournament comes down to this: #1 Adam Knudsen vs #6 Joey DiMeo
Joey had the upset against Adam in the opening rounds of the tournament and has looked like a serious contender ever since. With his impressive performances on the mound and at the plate, he is the only one left in the tournament without a loss. For Adam, after his loss to Joey, he has seemed more than locked in at the plate than ever. His bat has willed him through the loser's bracket to get him back in a position to win. It won't be easy though, as he is playing the hottest player in the tournament. Who will be crowned as the Blitzball 1v1 tournament champion?
RULES:
- 2 inning
- 6 balls, 3 strikes
- 2 HBP = walk
- 5 run limit per half-inning
- 80 MPH speed limit
- Ghost Runners
- No base running, hit determined by where the ball is hit:
Out = fielded cleanly before the fence
Single = Ball hits fence on a roll
Double = Ball hits fence on a fly
Home Run = well... just like baseball, over the fence!
everything not stated in these rules defaults to normal baseball rules

I’m confused. Adam came up from the losers bracket and Joey was undefeated, so shouldn’t Adam have to beat Joey twice to get the title? They both have one loss at this point, so there should have been a third match to give one of them 2 losses and knock them out of the tournament…the same as anyone else that exited the tourney. This is a big gaff on your part.
