In No More Dream you were definitely confusing Jungkook for Jimin because Jungkook always sings those parts - tbh old school BTS was way more rap heavy and the vocal line just didn't get as many lines. Anything from 2015 onwards Jimin's always had plenty of lines.

I don't know where you heard that, but Jungkook started out as a vocalist! He auditioned as a vocalist at age 11-12. He had no dance experience before! Only JIMIN who had a background in hip hop, contemporary, as well as even martial arts (including 2 blackbelt in Taekwondo & Kumdo), and J-Hope who started also at quite young age as well but with street dancing. J-Hope even performed in a dance troupe called Neutron. Jungkook started to learn dance only after bring a trainee with BigHit. They even sent him to the USA for a month to lean to dance with more emotions since he was lacking. Jungkook fell in love with dance at one point and almost wanted to just learn dance only, but Jimin convinced him to continue as the vocalist he was meant to be!

That BTS Introduction is incorrect about Jimin!!! Jimin, just like Jin, had no background in singing before joining BigHit!! The difference between him & Jin was that Jin had almost 2 years as a trainee to learn to be a vocalist but Jimin, since he joined last, had barely even 6 months of training before their debut, which was unheard of usually for an idol. Even though he had the least amount of time being a trainee he was still given the official title of Lead Vocalist & Main Dancer! He was not insecure about his singing as much as wanting to have more time to learn properly the correct vocal technique. The part where Jimin said in his vlog about wanting to take 6 months off to finally learn so he could sing better and also to avoid possible damage to his vocal chords ultimately by singing incorrectly and straining, was edited out!! That vlog was quite old, from 2016, and the time he's upset after performing was from 2017 but also was right after an exhausting couple of weeks performing continually right before their tour and developed an extreme sore throat where he even had laryngitis. He always feels bad if he isn't able to give a 100% best performance for his beloved army. JIMIN these days has finally mastered the technique so he sings more powerful and stronger than ever with way better endurance and sustainability, although his vocals themselves were absolutely breathtaking spectacular since the beginning. Even before learning proper technique which he wanted to learn so badly since Jimin is such a perfectionist!!
Well, you sort of have a point however Jin was trained in acting vocal techniques which are different from singing. And I believe unlearning something is much harder than starting from nothing. Jimin is very talented, has a beautiful voice but he's never really been stable (although he's improved a lot, especially with his technique) His notes might be high but his range in comparison to Jin's isn't that wide. It's not my intention to put him down but I'm genuinely curious why he got the lead vocalist position when if anyone, it should have been Jungkook and Jin. I think that with the kind of music they make, Jungkook and Jin feel the most comfortable (Taehyung can pull off higher notes sure but their music is made for tenors basically) and their singing, especially live, proves they deserve their spotlight. I know Jin is getting more lines these days but I'm forever bitter because this fandom still sleeps on him and his abilities. He has the highest belt out of all the members, an extremely wide range, has been named silver voice by the GRAMMY panel, has been praised by KMA.

In my opinion there are many factors that could have went into the reason why jimin was given the lead vocal role over Jin. One being the tones of their voice. Personally I think the tone of Jimin’s voice suited their earlier styles better than Jin’s. (Jimin and Jin both have a certain type of nasally sound to their voice and Jin’s was way more noticeable because of the way they made him sing for the songs.) Another reason could be because of the role bighit gave to Jin. Even he said he didn’t do certain things because of the role as the quiet cold but caring handsome member. And lastly (pleased don’t get offended) it could have been because of his dancing. Now Jin is an amazing dancer but that cake with time, experience, and more confidence. Way back when, Jin did not have those things and being lead singer requires you to have a lot of parts and untimely center stage dancing. And even though jimin had problems being stable while dancing, he could distract people from his mistakes with dancing as hard as he possibly can. I’m not defending the decisions the company made in the beginning but I understand why the did certain things. They were a small company trying to gain some type of recognition for their artist.
@@buziak2504 As a musician, myself, I see it's easier for Jin's & JK's voices to hit octave falsettos at that pitch, than higher voiced Jimin, to hit that same pitch, cuz there's not as much difference..That's why his very high falsettos sound so good, cuz here's a big diff. in the pitch.. As for his stability when dancing hard, I've watched very carefully & realize it's more of a confidence issue, as if he always tries to "catch" up, not having as much training as the others (3-6 mos. b4 tv debut), but he def. has a lead vocal voice, no doubtb& has a bigger range than you think..When he sings a cappella, in practices, warm-ups, his voice is amazingly steady, he just has a natural trill to his voice..Jimin's & Tae's voices have the most beautiful colors to them & are the most instantly recognizable/unique, while JK & Jin's angelic voices are the steadiest/strongest, but not as unique..I actually love the rap line's deeper, husky, raspy singing voices, amazing in slow "ballads"..Again, all 3 have awesome/unique/instantly recognizable> star quality.💜

It’s really difficult to do something that you were not really interested in but he did really well because of hard work. His vocal coach did not only say that he only improved but he really transformed. Aaron, Jungkook at the begining, he started as main vocal in BTS. Beforehand he had the audition on TV known as 'superstarK and was dropped but after that he got 7 proposals including Big Hit. He was a quiet boy at that time. During he practiced for debut as BTS, starting dance practice and he was into dancing so much. So in this period he said that "I want to be a professional dancer instead of being BTS". But Jimin persuaded him not to do that with buying a icecream to him the beloved youngest one in BTS. So early season of BTS, even though Jungkook said "I want to focuse on dancing not singing", he still started as a so vocal based performer. And literally he is basically good at everything and learns fast. Meanwhile Jimin started with dancing before being the last member of BTS. And he was trained hard as a vocal. He was known for a practice king so hard. That why I like him so much. In "Bangtan attic talk" recently, members said Jimin had less vocal part early BTS untill the song 'Danger' if that is right as I remembered(Jimin didn't drop any of Jimin part just an understandable situation just less vocal part for Jimin at that time, so Jimin got stressed and used to be so sensitive. But after he had his own positioning well in BTS, he is getting being a relaxed personality and most lovely and nice person. He is a natural born dancer but not as a vocal. Nope you have it wrong, that has always been Jungkook's part in the song. Jimin doesn't come in until the "La la la la la" section. They only change parts out of sickness, unless they recreate a part as they did for Spring Day live.

The difference between him & Jin was that Jin had almost 2 years as a trainee to learn to be a vocalist but Jimin, since he joined last, had barely even 6 months of training before their debut, which was unheard of usually for an idol. Even though he had the least amount of time being a trainee he was still given the official title of Lead Vocalist & Main Dancer! He was not insecure about his singing as much as wanting to have more time to learn properly the correct vocal technique. The part where Jimin said in his vlog about wanting to take 6 months off to finally learn so he could sing better and also to avoid possible damage to his vocal chords ultimately by singing incorrectly and straining, was edited out!! That vlog was quite old, from 2016, and the time he's upset after performing was from 2017 but also was right after an exhausting couple of weeks performing continually right before their tour and developed an extreme sore throat where he even had laryngitis. He always feels bad if he isn't able to give a 100% best performance for his beloved army. JIMIN these days has finally mastered the technique so he sings more powerful and stronger than ever with way better endurance and sustainability, although his vocals themselves were absolutely breathtaking spectacular since the beginning. Even before learning proper technique which he wanted to learn so badly since Jimin is such a perfectionist!!
Well, you sort of have a point however Jin was trained in acting vocal techniques which are different from singing. And I believe unlearning something is much harder than starting from nothing. Jimin is very talented, has a beautiful voice but he's never really been stable (although he's improved a lot, especially with his technique) His notes might be high but his range in comparison to Jin's isn't that wide. It's not my intention to put him down but I'm genuinely curious why he got the lead vocalist position when if anyone, it should have been Jungkook and Jin. I think that with the kind of music they make, Jungkook and Jin feel the most comfortable (Taehyung can pull off higher notes sure but their music is made for tenors basically) and their singing, especially live, proves they deserve their spotlight. I know Jin is getting more lines these days but I'm forever bitter because this fandom still sleeps on him and his abilities. He has the highest belt out of all the members, an extremely wide range, has been named silver voice by the GRAMMY panel, has been praised by KMA.
babyitscoldoutside I think we can say all the vocalist have grown since debut. In my opinion there are many factors that could have went into the reason why jimin was given the lead vocal role over Jin. One being the tones of their voice. Personally I think the tone of Jimin’s voice suited their earlier styles better than Jin’s. (Jimin and Jin both have a certain type of nasally sound to their voice and Jin’s was way more noticeable because of the way they made him sing for the songs.) Another reason could be because of the role bighit gave to Jin. Even he said he didn’t do certain things because of the role as the quiet cold but caring handsome member. And lastly (pleased don’t get offended) it could have been because of his dancing. Now Jin is an amazing dancer but that cake with time, experience, and more confidence. Way back when, Jin did not have those things and being lead singer requires you to have a lot of parts and untimely center stage dancing. And even though jimin had problems being stable while dancing, he could distract people from his mistakes with dancing as hard as he possibly can. I’m not defending the decisions the company made in the beginning but I understand why the did certain things. They were a small company trying to gain some type of recognition for their artist.
@@buziak2504 As a musician, myself, I see it's easier for Jin's & JK's voices to hit octave falsettos at that pitch, than higher voiced Jimin, to hit that same pitch, cuz there's not as much difference..That's why his very high falsettos sound so good, cuz here's a big diff. in the pitch..
As for his stability when dancing hard, I've watched very carefully & realize it's more of a confidence issue, as if he always tries to "catch" up, not having as much training as the others (3-6 mos. b4 tv debut), but he def. has a lead vocal voice, no doubtb& has a bigger range than you think..When he sings a cappella, in practices, warm-ups, his voice is amazingly steady, he just has a natural trill to his voice..Jimin's & Tae's voices have the most beautiful colors to them & are the most instantly recognizable/unique, while JK & Jin's angelic voices are the steadiest/strongest, but not as unique..I actually love the rap line's deeper, husky, raspy singing voices, amazing in slow "ballads"..Again, all 3 have awesome/unique/instantly recognizable> star quality.💜
@@buziak2504 , yeah, i think it was really hard for Jin when he was a trainee because he mentioned that he did not have interest in singing at first. It’s really difficult to do something that you were not really interested in but he did really well because of hard work. His vocal coach did not only say that he only improved but he really transformed. The guys are all hard working and they all have amazing voices and talents that fits well to every bts songs and performances💜

I think I would rather say, that Jin is the most under appreciated among the vocal lines by fans and that makes me sad because Jin’s vocals is amazing too like the rest.

Jungkook at the begining, he started as main vocal in BTS. Beforehand he had the audition on TV known as 'superstarK and was dropped but after that he got 7 proposals including Big Hit. He was a quiet boy at that time.
During he practiced for debut as BTS, starting dance practice and he was into dancing so much. So in this period he said that "I want to be a professional dancer instead of being BTS". But Jimin persuaded him not to do that with buying a icecream to him the beloved youngest one in BTS.
So early season of BTS, even though Jungkook said "I want to focuse on dancing not singing", he still started as a so vocal based performer. And literally he is basically good at everything and learns fast.
Meanwhile Jimin started with dancing before being the last member of BTS. And he was trained hard as a vocal. He was known for a practice king so hard. That why I like him so much.
In "Bangtan attic talk" recently, members said Jimin had less vocal part early BTS untill the song 'Danger' if that is right as I remembered(Jimin didn't drop any of Jimin part just an understandable situation just less vocal part for Jimin at that time, so Jimin got stressed and used to be so sensitive. But after he had his own positioning well in BTS, he is getting being a relaxed personality and most lovely and nice person. He is a natural born dancer but not as a vocal. He made it himself practicing so hard. That's not easy. I'm proud of him.

Nope you have it wrong, that has always been Jungkook's part in the song. Jimin doesn't come in until the "La la la la la" section. They only change parts out of sickness, unless they recreate a part as they did for Spring Day live.

I’m Korean and Yes, when RM raps in korean, he has natural swag too. However, when he speaks in interview, because of the words and quotes he’s using, he doesn’t sound like swaggy rapper but rather sounds like young intellectual.
