Hi! I was born in Riga in 1983. I'm Latvian. Thank You for video. We're actually quite friendly. At first we may seem cold and reserved, but if You show respect to our history and culture and learn at least some basic phrases in the beginning, we will appreciate. And we are NOT part of Russia. Most people from the west usually confuse us with the Lithuanians our Southern brothers. And we're both in Baltics, not the Balkans.
Visited Riga in November. We loved it so much we have booked to stay again, So clean and beautiful ,We found everyone friendly and love the food , Its an amazing place, we also love visiting Lithuania,

Many people think latvians are russians while many russians never even heard about it 😂. The fact many latvians speak russian is because they are multilingual. The most latvians speak english as good as dutch people and sometimes you'll find someone who speaks german. And yes, there are living many russians like hispanics in America

What's your problem? This is a free PR for people who never heard anything about Latvia or likely all of "Eastern" Europe. Even if that's just an extract from Wikipedia, it's more than most people in the World know. And there is no bad PR if not done deliberately that way.
