I was also a green card holder when I enlisted in the Marines. Served in Iraq and Afghanistan as an infantry man and I got wounded in Iraq. I applied for my citizenship before I got medically retired from the Marine Corps. I was also diagnosed with PTSD but, I didn’t commit any felony while I was a green card holder, because I know that it’s a ticket to deportation. I am not blaming these individuals but if you served in the military then you should know this because it’s drilled into our heads by the military: “You are responsible for your own actions.”
Welcome to the divided state's of America, good enough to defend but not good enough to be American citizens, these families would have been stressed out while their loved ones were fighting and wondering if they'd see them again, then when they're deported the stress gets worse, children growing up without fathers, wives without husbands, the government would have known these peoples status before they sent them off to war,the land of the free, yet the very people who help you keep your freedom are treated as second class citizens, what a joke.
No you know what I enlisted in the U.S. Marines and had a green card at the time and I CLEARLY REMRMBER THE RECRUITER TELLING ME THAT ENLISTING DID NOT MEAN CITIZENSHIP TO THE UNITED STATES. HE TOLD ME IT MADE THE PROCESS EASIER BUT I ALREADY HAD SINGNED UP ON MY OWN AND ACTUALLY I DID NOT END UP SERVING IN THE MILITARY BUT HAD ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM BECOMING A U.S. CITIZEN THANK GOD.
Good job Amigo. I myself was a greencard holder. We were recruited in the Pacific to work as a working visa. They gave us an immigration class before leaving the country. I worked for 20 years never thought that it has an expiration date until cleaned up my closet and found my card. I went to immigration office they told me to just pay the application fee for citizenship. It was $400 fee I a paid with no hassle. I guess because I was a good citizen? Just feel sorry for these retired Vets they must have PTSD. It looks like deportation is worst than the fight they had in Afghanistan. Anyway question is why all these Mexicans wants to be in the USA? I'm sure there's life in Mexico too besides the Cartels. I want to deport myself but I can't my kids are still in school. I have a good life before I left my family. We have a small farms and one family has a resort. Now I work my behind to pay these dang bills. To these Deported Veterans. Start a New Life in your Country. US is not meant for you.
I got 2 friends who became US citizens, 1 served the military got his citizenship while on deployment, the other had a longer process ended up getting his 4 years later then the 1 that served. The military service just bumps you up the list, making it faster but doesnt give you automatic citizenship, you still need to follow the procedure.
Serving in the military doesn't mean you are free to use drugs and carry guns on the streets of USA. US has to maintain an image of itself and discipline its army
How about a Mexican whom served and survive the real wars of North Korea and Vietnam. 2 different wars for America and still deported purple heart and all. SMH and that's how u feel about our military?
Well they needed help, because of what they experienced during their military service. Who knows what that was...But I agree that the US should not turn there back on these men..Right or wrong they fought for this great country,!! And it was excepted...Alot of these vets did not come back, like they went in....!!!
They served. But if you bend over these fuckers will stab you in the back these crooked people are the ones running the cartels down there. BEHAVE OR GET DEPORTED.
Some of them have fake documents which they might buy or forge themselves. The thing that pisses me off this guys make it seem its the government fault, but its there fault they committed a crime which they will have to pay for.
Legal residents are eligible to serve in the US military. WHILE they are serving, if they petition to become a US citizen, some requirements are waived, and their path to citizenship is very accelerated. They may NOT re-enlist, however, unless they have become a US citizen. I knew a Soldier from Nicaragua, who received his citizenship about a week before his first 4-year term expired. He was promoted to Sergenat too. It was one of the proudest moments in his life. His wife and baby were there, and EVERYONE who sat there and watched him were in tears when he told us all how proud he was to come to America and be accepted, and have the chance to become an American. THAT is the kind of person we want as citizens. NOT the slugs who emlist for four years, make no effort to embrace the US as a new home, and then break our laws when they get out.
Slavik B Any male 18 years of age legal or illegal residing in usa must register to into the forces it federal law. I was told when I was applying for citizenship from legal resident
OK, let's stop guessing. THIS comes RIGHT off the DHS website: Naturalization through One Year of Qualifying Service During “Peacetime” Generally, a person who has served honorably in the U.S. armed forces at any time may be eligible to apply for naturalization under section 328 of the INA. The military community sometimes refers to this as “peacetime naturalization.” In general, an applicant for naturalization under Section 328 of the INA must: Be age 18 or older Have served honorably in the U.S. armed forces for at least 1 year and, if separated from the U.S. armed forces, have been separated honorably Be a permanent resident at the time of examination on the naturalization application Be able to read, write, and speak basic English Have a knowledge of U.S. history and government (civics) Have been a person of good moral character during all relevant periods under the law Have an attachment to the principles of the U.S. Constitution and be well disposed to the good order and happiness of the U.S. during all relevant periods under the law Have continuously resided in the United States for at least five years and have been physically present in the United States for at least 30 months out of the 5 years immediately preceding the date of filing the application, UNLESS the applicant has filed an application while still in the service or within 6 months of separation. In the latter case, the applicant is not required to meet these residence and physical presence requirements. Naturalization through Qualifying Service during Periods of Hostilities Generally, members of the U.S. armed forces who serve honorably for any period of time (even 1 day) during specifically designated periods of hostilities (see below) are eligible for naturalization under section 329 of the INA through such military service. In general, an applicant for naturalization under INA 329 must: Have served honorably in active-duty status, or as a member of the Selected Reserve of the Ready Reserve, for any amount of time during a designated period of hostilities and, if separated from the U.S. armed forces, have been separated honorably Have been lawfully admitted as a permanent resident at any time after enlistment or induction, OR have been physically present in the United States or certain territories at the time of enlistment or induction (regardless of whether the applicant was admitted as a permanent resident) Be able to read, write, and speak basic English Have a knowledge of U.S. history and government (civics) Have been a person of good moral character during all relevant periods under the law Have an attachment to the principles of the U.S. Constitution and be well disposed to the good order and happiness of the U.S. during all relevant periods under the law There is no minimum age requirement for an applicant under this section. The designated periods of hostilities are: April 6, 1917 to November 11, 1918 September 1, 1939 to December 31, 1946 June 25, 1950 to July 1, 1955 February 28, 1961 to October 15, 1978 August 2, 1990 to April 11, 1991 September 11, 2001 until the present
These vets were deported because they were SUCKERS for believing in America, as are each of the 20 American vets who commit suicide every day. News like this makes me glad that I did what I needed to do to avoid the draft during the Vietnam War.
I am retired from the Military. No Honorably Discharged Veteran should ever be deported. Citizenship should be automatically granted at time of discharge. We're asking men to write a blank check with there lives and then throwing them away. Whatever they may do after discharge, they should be treated like any other US Veteran and held accountable. I'm all for Immigration control, but not for those who have paid with their blood.
WRONG! No honorably discharged veteran should be deported IF he has pursued the fast track to citizenship that is available to all non-US citizen service members. Citizenship is not automatic...ever. If non US-citizens loved this country enough, they woulda pursued citizenship while still IN the military. This isn't Starship Troopers, buddy. You're entitled to your opinion, but it's wrong.
It's wierd really, but law is law and what's so bad about Mexico really? Lots of US people go there to retire because it's beautiful!! My dad only lived to 58 after 44 months in WW2. Count your blessings Bro. Jesus lives everywhere.
In our culture there is a saying if you are a visitor then you MUST I repeat MUST be on your best behaviour. Guess nobody informed these illegal immigrants that u can't be illegal and commit illegal acts it's as simply as abc.
@@tloukgaugelo2635 Your comment is válid up to a point. Are you a veteran? Were you brought to and raised in another country from the toddler age? If you lived in the same place for 20 or 30 years and knew everybody in your neighborhood would you consider yourself a visitor? The internet did not exist when some of these people got deported. So you just keep on living your sin free life and casting stones, judging others without all of the facts. You sound as american as apple pie.
your stupid, you think they would let him serve if he didnt have papers in order, you have to wait 5 years to apply citizenship and if your serving active duty makes it more hard to go through the process from another country you imbecile
Should be included into their entry packet at MEPPS. I agree that the military IS responsible for initiating their path to citizenship. They swore and took the oath to protect the US against foreign and domestic terror just to be betrayed after they successfully completed their service. All of their recruiters should be held accountable for falsifying about earning their citizenship by joining the military.
This so called warrior was found guilty of slinging drug products in the USA. This so called warrior was murdering the dreams and hopes of US citizens by enabling drugs and drug related violence to fill out streets. US Citizenship is NOT a gift it is something that must be earned. This guy by being a dope dealer proved himself unworthy of US Citizenship This so called warrior went into the US military so he could perfect his skills as a gunslinger and murderer for the Mexican drug cartels. The country was lucky. We kicked this bad hombre out of the USA before he matured into a full fledged murdering dope dealing rapist maggot! The man is not an honorable veteran he is nothing more than a thug who used US Military Service to perfect his gun, drug, thug skill sets! Good Bloody Riddens! I pray you never darken the shores of the USA again maggot!
@Canis Lupus : Did you even watch the entire video? A lot of American veterans fall on hard drugs, after coming back from serving your country because many of them deal with PTSD and no one helps them, or something happens in their lives that take away their chance to earn enough to live. So while it is wrong they committed their crimes, as a society, we also need to sympathize and help them get up on their feet, especially after the horrors they experienced serving your country. I knew a guy, who is a Canadian Forces army veteran who came back with PTSD and wasn't treated. He fell on hard drugs, then went to prison. Afterwards, after his friends and family helped him, he started helping himself. Today, he goes around and works for charities, for the awareness of other veterans dealing with PTSD and hard times. People make mistakes, but more than that, military veterans need a lot more support than many of you judgemental people think.
3:13 RIP US Marine Enrique Salas, he was seriously injured in a car accident in Tijuana, Mexico in April 2018 and later died in San Diego, CA hospital after repeated immigration delays in acquiring a emergency humanitarian visa. Ironically, a Veteran deported by the USA while he was living but returned with full burial military honors in the US only after passing. What is wrong with this??!
There’s tons of skinheads and gang members enlisted but they still get the same rights as us because they’re US citizens like this guy should have been.
@@tloukgaugelo2635 while I served in the 101st Airborne one of my friends was from Trinidad and he studied and received his citizenship while serving. This guy should have made that a priority over drugs & guns. Anyone who didn't know recruiters are professional liars wasn't really paying attention.
Problem is These guys are Promised citizenship First by "enlisting" in our Military. That Promise should be Honored First! Personal problems following the term in Service should be dealt with no differently than any other U.S. Citizen.
The military does NOT inform individuals on how to become citizen. The military does lies to recruit. Im a Veteran and my recruiter lied to me but I manage to succeed during and after the military. Often times the military will DETER YOU from accomplishing other goals besides their missions. I had to endure this many times. I started to keep things quiet to accomplish my personal goals. Smh, the statement "We are a Nation of Laws" is an insult. The laws only work for those that know how to use it. "KNOWLEDGE IS POWER". Facts, it is called "Double Jeopardy" what these Veterans are going thru. But we are Nations of Laws right. The Veterans served the USA, they deserve citizenship, especially since more than likely, they are deliberately kept from accomplishing this goal.
It's not double jeopardy. That would be serving time twice for one crime. This is just standard operating procedure for _any_ immigrant convicted of _any_ felony. Deportation after time served is SOP, regardless of veteran status or country of origin. Period. And yes... Recruiters lied to me too, but I watched my Trinidadian friend get his citizenship while we served. _We celebrated!_ 🍻
jdm ek Not true, I was in Iraq and I was encouraged by my leadership to apply while in country. You joined to change your life for the best, not to return to the old life left behind.
It is so bad what they are doing to these people... I was once told by a judge that my ignorance of my laws were not his fault the normal citizen doesn't go to law school and doesn't know half the laws are themselves it is so sad
I would say did 180 missions in Afghanistan and he deserves some medical attention since he hasn't heard anybody !! Did you spend any time in Afghanistan ???
Where do you draw a line. They come out service turn to drugs and crime. Does America spend a lot of money trying to turn them around or send them back to their own country.
Well if you smart enough to get in the military then you must know how to read english. Which means fill out all necessary paperwork to be a u.s. citizen and stay out of trouble you only have yourselves to blame.🙄
Use them and lose them is what I say. I rather have illegals dying instead of Americans. Fight for our military, get paid, then get deported safely back to your own country.
Like my Veteran brother here. I too was an Immigrant and served the US Army for 6yrs. with 3 Combat Tours. I did not become a US Citizen until I applied for it while I was in the US Army. This could have been me. We are nation of LAWS but WE are also Nation who pledge to support our Military. The Government spent millions of adds on TV, Magazines, Posters and News Papers recruiting Immigrants. The paper of for citizenship should automatically start once they took the OATH OF ENLISTMENT.
In university we had old Polish professor who wanted to visit UK for a conference. His visa application got denied. So he wrote to the prime minister, saying, "Its OK to bleed for the Queen in Monte Cassino in 1944, but to visit England later, then no?" Apparently he got his visa in a month...
Serving in the armed forces doesn't release anyone from later criminality! You were rewarded for your good deeds and punished for your bad ones. Sounds fair!
@@perryegolson833 - WRONG! Non US Citizens serving in the armed forces are fully aware of their status, and as such, they know the consequences of violating the law and losing their right to live in the US. Just because foreigners served as military personnel, it doesn't release them from their legal responsibilities and in such case; the consequences regarding their immigration status. They knew what they were doing and no PTSD made anyone ever a drug dealer or bank robber or anything else, only greed for easy money! They deserve to be deported, because they are after all; foreigners!
Raging News No, the video clearly shows, and also studies have also shown that recruiters often tell them that as green card holders they will be granted citizenship if they serve in the military. It’s one of the oldest tricks in the book. And I have no idea what you are talking about regarding drug dealers and bank robbers. You’re just spouting random stuff. Whatever makes you feel good I suppose.
@@perryegolson833 - It is well known that immigration takes even the seemingly smallest violations of the law, such as DUI, very seriously, for which any law-abiding greencard holder can be deported. Also, claiming ignorance that they "thought" they became citizens is a LIE, since all military branches provide information about the necessary steps how to become eligible for applying for citizenship, after which the first thing every immigrant does is to apply for their US passport to prove their status! They knew they were foreigners, they never applied for citizenship, and if they're smart enough to handle sophisticated equipment, then they should be smart enough to know that they are NOT citizens! They are rightfully deported for their crimes and deserve no sympathy whatsoever!
@@ragingnews Way to not even address anything that I said in my previous comment about recruiters telling them that they could gain citizenship if they served. I never said crimes are not to be taken seriously. I even said they SHOULD serve jail time and face the same justice system as we would. Sympathy is not needed, but just a solution. Okay, how about this for a solution. Since they bravely served the country, that should be considered as a mitigating factor when it comes to sentencing. Even you would agree to that. So after returning from service, if they subsequently commit a crime, they can still gain US citizenship assuming they received an honorable discharge from the military, but they have to serve jail time, and the crime still goes on their record. And if they re-offend within, say a year, they would face automatic deportation. This actually SOLVES A PROBLEM. I know that's a strange concept to you, because you are trained that being born here in the USA (which you have no control over) somehow makes you a better human being, and others who were not born here (again, not controllable) are just vile, disgusting sub-human creatures. Even those we willingly allow to serve the country.
🤔How did they get to serve in the military without being a USA citizen? GREEN CARD 🤔Why didn’t they APPLY for their citizenship? Some say they were told that they automatically get it when they enlist. ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS APPLY FOR CITIZENSHIP to get the ball rolling. The process is fast tracked for them while they’re serving and risking their lives. 1)Be a law abiding citizen in your host country. Don’t be a criminal ANYWHERE. 2)Don’t take things for granted. 3) Understand and appreciate the privilege and opportunity you and your family were given to go to another country to restart & reinvent yourself. 4)Get their citizenship and be a good citizen. 5)If you get deported...you still have an opportunity to reinvent yourself, do well, be a good citizen and live a criminal free life.
so he was a resident in USA (green card) served the military in usa but after that... came back to USA and get caught with drugs guns...what!!! come on i don't have Nothing against him...but you just let your people down when you decide to get involve with drugs and guns..

Hey Pat, He had the drugs more than likely because the medications assigned to his PTSD has little to no affect so like most veterans unfortunately, he attempts to self -medicate. The Veteran's Administration is a vehicle where all tires are turning but are making no progress in its treatment of veterans. Hell, you go there with an obvious wound leaking like a damn open faucet and they just give you a pill to take. Regardless of what ails a veteran they just put a pill on it. It is less cost effective to prescribe rather that perform a procedure as far as the VA is concerned. It is for this reason that the VA was identified as making more addicted personnel via the gateway drugs they give out to veterans like candy. The military due to its high operational tempo operate under a mission statement of keeping the troops vertical and deployed and once released from active military service the VA, who are inundated by so many patients operate under the mission statement of keeping them horizontal and out of the office. Indicative of this practice will show itself in the"Special Operations" units of the military in particular, 'The Seals" because they are always in the news unknowingly serving as recruiter posters for the military. The Army, Marines and Air Force all have teams capable of long range reconnaissance or destroying designate targets in their area of operation, yet their mission counts stand dwarfed because the hot ticket for enlistment is spelled "SEALS". VA doctors are mandated to limit their patient visits to around twenty {20} minutes with fifteen {15} of those minutes you will see the doctor working on the mandatory material held on the computer while talking to the patient sporadically over the computer screen.. So in all actuality the doctor only has five {5} minutes to inter-face with the patient. And it has been these plus other factors that have led to many veterans turning to alternative methods to ease their symptoms and stop their pain.
and having a kilo of cocaine to your name....his mother is the enabler...half of the american people love the military in fact they love voluntarily joining the military, the other half of the american people don't have the stomach for wars and the whole military...so it depends who you encounter when you are trying to get justice, the outcome could be different...if you listen carefully to the commentator he never refers to these deportees as fighting for the USA instead he, the commentator, says that they were fighting for the USA INTERESTS...which is totally different than "fighting for our freedom" i believe they were fighting for their own interests and the interests of the USA....
THIS MAKES ME MAD! Not just for Completed Enlistments, If anyone is willing to Contract his Life, Limb, and Liberties, for two years or more, to the US, Military he/she should be give Full the Full protection of our Constitution, as would any American Born Citizen. As an American Born Citizen, who's served in the Army, I think ALL COMBAT VETERANS, Deserve as much or more consideration than all of us who didn't do Combat Duty. Let's Everyone call, text, tweet, or otherwise send this one to President Trump.

not really all of us ancestors migrates are used, Europeans, Latins & Asian & Africans all the rest, its just each person life decisions so consequent are left that all
Many of us have returned with problems. Some handle it better than others. To serve time in the prison system is punishment enough. If you are a veteran and agree with their deportation you are not a brother or sister. Many US born citizens commit crimes and have never served their country; not even in the boyscouts for that matter. Thankfully their are just a few jerks that agree with their deportation. The majority including the president think otherwise
@mas360 I have no love or respect for trump but I will give credit where credit is due along with criticism. Many of these vets have as of late been able to return to the US and rightfully so. Moral of the story- Stay out of trouble! During my time in the US ARMY I've had two Soldiers who were under my supervision. What happened to all these recruiters who told these men & women that by joining, they automatically became citizens. Isn't that contract a legal document? If that's what they believed, isn't that a verbal contract given by a representative of OUR government?
Roy Henderson I trust the service men but I do not trust many of their so called bosses they helped destroy the USA so they can bet the truth will come out period
shane phelan, It's all of them without citizenship, even if they were told that by serving they would become citizens. Simply being here with a lapsed green card is enough to deport them. (No actual crime required) You know the saying "use em and lose em"? That's what's happening.
@Steven Wyatt hmmm!!! They should receive citizenship upon swearing in why would you want to take a chance having someone on your side if you don't know who they are sworn to support as a vet I would have liked to have known who's side people are really on even though sworn testimony does not mean true loyalty as we already know
During the Vietnam War, my best buddy and I went out on maneuver, whereupon he was sent home to his mother in Panama in a pine box. And though he also joined the U.S. Army to gain citizenship, but not did he or his mother ever receive it.
The military should upon enlistment (or upon honorable discharge), automatically facilitate citizenship or submit the application itself to INS. They should not grant the discharge until, the soldier is counseled to ask them: "Do you want to become a citizen? Or not. Here's what you have to do, and we will help you do it". This is what happens with big liberal bureaucratic dysfunctional government. Too big for it's own good. Out of touch with reality.
Its just the sustem been cunning. Not everyone is as literate or aware, it is only right after they have served to let them know what they are eligible forbfor all their service. And yes help them through the entire process for tiose who want to be citizens.
Where ya been dude? INS ceased to exist since 2003 with the creation of DHS(Dept of Homeland Security). INS was remodeled into ICE(Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and that's who's in charge of Immigration enforcement laws now
I disagree. It is the responsibility of the individual to seek citizenship not the military to initiate the process. However, it is unfortunate that some veterans may have gotten the wrong information from a recruiter. I do know that social services are readily available for veterans so they could have sought help through the various organizations that help veterans.
I met a buddy of mine when we were both stationed at M.C.A.S. Yuma, he served for 7 years in the U.S.M.C. and he was married to an American citizen, when he got busted with a couple keys of mota, and was deported for that. Once he found out that no one could help him, he hopped back over the border, went back home, went back to work, paying taxes and all, like nothing ever happened. But the one thing that did change, was his desire to keep selling weed. 5 years in prison and deportation, couldn't be covered by the 7 years in the Military ! ! !
I guaranteed NONE of them are saying VIVA MEXICO as it is yelled constantly here. It is a SHAME that their parents made such a bad choice for them, rather than apply for Citizenship. They are proud of Mexico and yell it out VIVA MEXICO until they have to live there.
Vlad Zavala we'll put....I couldn't agree more....they are soooo Mexican here in the US and when they're in Mexico they are soooo American ..... dumbasses
When someone asks me aren't you Mexican, I say no mam/sir I am an American, my mom and dad were from Texas, and their parents was from Spain and Texas. They became legal citizens and proud Americans.

This is a tuff situation, but in the beginning of the video, it shows he was cut with drugs and weapons. We don't even know, his whole story. What kind of charges, he got? Was he involved with gangs? I am pretty sure he was convicted of a felony, in order to be deported. Like the other Mexican lady without documents, living in L. A. said, you have to live a low profile life, and follow the laws. It's very obvious he didn't. I do feel for his family, but he brought it to himself. Like most of those guys do.
I just don't understand the VALUE. Shaking my head when you can honor " The unknown soldier" VS. not honoring soldiers who served, fought, and are still alive deported to other countries. Think about it!
SOME people join the US military who is illegals afraid to fix their legal document because if the military found out, you are illegal they will be kick out of the military.
My dad served in the army and after his time we all got deported to the Philippines. We eventually came back to the states after 7 years when he did the proper paperwork. These vets should be able to do it also. It’s difficult but nothing is impossible.
Question? Has the law change for everyone that joins the service? My daughter is in the service this was her decision we didn’t want her to join but she insisted, when the recruiting people came over to our house they check everything on all of (her family) us. We are citizens but we have to show our birth certificates and they make copies of everything it took about a week if remember correctly they came back and said everything is in order, so I imagine the service people/government check on everything to make sure is legit so I don’t understand why were this people serving the country with out being citizens, this is why I am asking this question has the rules change for the last couple of years i am confused.
So am I! My stepson got his citizenship upon completion of boot camp! He is in Germany and holds a top secret clearance. I dont get why these guys did not get citizenship?
@mas360 I dont understand how they were PERMITTED not to follow through with the process? My step son was not given that option. He was mandated to fill out his citizenship application prior leaving for basic training. He was again mandated to take and pass the citizenship test before completing basic training.
@mas360 It appears the government "used" the poor to accomplish their objectives. Shameful! I'm all for punishing people who commit felonies, but denying citizenship to a combat veteran is just wrong! It's also the military's fault for not properly guiding/advising them at the time they're were suppose to submit their citizenship application. Now they're caught in a quagmire because of immigration law. Sad😟

And you better hope like hell the arresting officer wasn't ex military.
If this is true , then that's wrong . If they served in the armed forces they should get papers to stay . BUT if they brake the LAW I don't know . We have enough criminals already .
Unfortunately some people simply have no clue and see deportation as wrong. Snowflakes of today always wanting everything on a plate and someone else's fault if it goes wrong .
Lol someone who fought for our country who wasnt born here you dont have a problem with. When did you serve our country? If this american committed a crime than he should prosecuted as an American just like the rest of us not get sent to a different country.
@@mannysalamanca24 lol, Do some research Mr nobody, All Serving members, no matter of their originating citizenship have the opportunity to register, go through the process and are guaranteed US Citizenship whilst serving in the US Military or after they leave. All these that served did not apply, go through the process and then committed a Crime which then exempts them. If they F up its not the US's fault it's theirs. Some only join, do a year and discharge them selves and use this to try and become a citizen, I dont have a problem for sure with that but The consequences are unfortunate but life if they F up. oh and I served 25 plus years with SF. ANY SOLDIER WHO BREAKS RULES IN THE MILITARY OR COMMITS CRIMES IS BOOTED OUT OF THE MILITARY AND RIGHTFULLY SO. ANY SOLDIER. NO they do NOT get ANY benefits. BEEN this way forever. SO NO just because some whining latino who joins gangs and does crimes whines about consequences he knew before signing up is whining about losing the great opportunity he blew....nope..nothing needs to change..
Thats definitely not the case, and that has nothing to do with these people. So unless you are int eh military or have been in there long enough to know what your talking about. I'd personally not say nothing. If they were still in the military when they committed their crimes, it would have just simply disappeared. Unless it was a a extreme crime. And if your ranks high enough you just get demoted a rank and they then offer money to the victim if there a victim. Been there seen that alot. not to mention the fact that most of us are told to commit crimes buy our XO's during times of war, and the only time you pay for those crimes is if you speak out against it or refuse to do it. There's a hell of alot more that goes on that you will have to go experience if you wanna know, as i am not gunna put our military in a precarious situation by releasing stuff not already know by the general public..
Arie Fraiser---i was wondering that myself...you can only lose your citizenship....by 1)death...2)ACTS OF TREASON...3)LYING OR FALSIFYING YOUR CITIZENSHIP APPLICATION..........so you are right...they were never citizens.......
King Katura I am a marine and a gun and drugs is a big crime he should have known better if he was in at the time it would absolutely not disappear I watched 3 marines do jail time for simply shooting rifles in the desert because they wherent on a range they where charged as civilians then also charged under the ucmj after they came back to the unit so in some cases of slap on the hand crimes yes they might get away with a warning and a good smoking but any significant crime a.e a gun and drugs will never just simply disappear you are wrong
Damn brother, I am so so sorry what they have done to you. I hope things will turn things around for you soon brother. Stay strong and your brother here love you !
Wow! So sad.. I got deported also it was hard because U.S.A was all I knew. Now I feel as if it was a blessing under disguise. Its such a huge beautiful world ! feel so bad for the mother on this video talking about her son... Its sooo true! My son is American and has told me he wants to go to the Army - Im like hell nah!!
Mauricio, thank you for fighting for our country. But if you are a green card holder and you are caught with a 1/2 pound of cocaine and a hand gun, the law is very clear, you loose every right to be in USA soil. Antonio
My spouse family came here legally in 1989, he decided after graduation to attend college and than joined the military. At that time he was perusing his citizenship, he didn’t break any laws and after 5 years and a bunch of paperwork he was granted citizenship. My point is he and his family did everything right. All three siblings went to college without any loans and they all worked minimum wage jobs and have become very successful. There isn’t any excuse for breaking the law, and if you do. Do not complain to the rest of us law abiding citizens that don’t break our laws and ask for additional exemptions that us regular people are not allowed to have. Accountability is a core concept to all veterans so these guys complaining about not being aware of their personal responsibilities are not at all viable. We veterans receive every concession the law allows and receive thousands of hours of briefings throughout our careers, so it doesn’t seem true that the guy assumed he was automatically granted citizenship after joining the military that is a straight up lie. I met millions of people throughout my career from every country in the world and they all new what the requirements for gaining American citizenship was. These types of people without honor tend not to last very long in the military, with the constant assessments occurring people tend not to be able to hide their bad actions for extended periods of time.smh
I agree it is very abusive of the American government to allow people to fight for our country and not be citizens that should be a requirement. And until now I always thought that it was a requirement to be in the military you have to be a United States citizen. Why would you allow anyone to fight for your country and they're not even citizens at any time they can't switch sides. In terms of just national security this should never be . Just like foreigners should not be able to hold any high government positions like governor mayor president Supreme Court Justice any judge I mean that's just common sense if you are foreign born and not a United States citizen you should not be able to hold any office government Congress senate house now that stat that stuff for Pertains to to a.m.erican citizens
No one walk people to the recruiter station and if the talk to you in to join your are 18 or older looking for the goverment to help you with your economic status. And if they are not citizens is something that and have a green card what else is it to do but to try your hardest to be a citizen. If thats what you want.
When you have PTSD it effects us all differently. Some of us turn to alcohol or drugs to make the pain go away. I don't know what type of support they may have had, but all Vets need to pull together. It does not matter when we served or if we saw combat but we must become One.
See, thats the problem now. Too many have it your way loopholes! Stick to the law, like American citizens have to. We dont get to pick and choose what we think ought to happen! If a citizen breaks into your home, takes your valuables and you say, oh its ok. Let him go. Now you have opened the door to all thieves to be let go. Follow the law. Why dont they realize they acted illegally. Are we crying for the thousands of citizens on death row for committing crimes! Let them go because they left their families behind! Why not. Do it for one, do it for all. A crimebis a crime, crying doesnt change that!
these people finally realize how good it is being here in the US. They do no need to be here to make it, they can do it in their own County. They had the chance already and, they messed up.
@linda B Nice try, globalist. THESE PEOPLE HAVE EARNED THEIR HATE FROM AMERICANS... WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD ENLIST FOREIGNERS IN THE MILITARY????
They should’ve just read the fine print. America straight up said that if they committed crimes they’d be illegal immigrants again, while I think they should change that it’s not like we lied about that
That is not a double jeopardy. They had plenty of time to arrange for citizenship. And the country has the right to block the number of people coming into their country.
I AM VERY PRO-DEPOTATION OF ILLEGAL ALIENS EXCEPT THOSE THAT HAVE SERVED OUR COUNTRY IN HONOR INCLUDING THOSE THAT HAD SERVED THEIR TIME OF CORRECTION NOT OF CAPITAL CRIME. THEY SHOULD BE GIVEN A PASS ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY HAVE OFFSPRING RESPONSIBILITIS. OTHERWISE WHEN THEIR CHILDREN ARE GROWN IT MAY FROSTER PROBLEMSTIC ANIMOSITY!!!
They should have applied for citizenship while serving. I am Mexican and served in the usaf and applied when i was serving. Sorry, being a criminal after serving and being an illegal alien will result in being deported. A lot of them deserve a second chance, but not all of them.
When they were serving our country someone should have told them, we will help you become a citizen!!Five years ???? That is shame on us! Respect all who protect his country!
Being a "HERO" in the the U.S. Military does not excuse you from committing crimes. Nor is it an excuse to commit crime. AND won't exempt you from tribunal dispositions. So, you feel that becoming a U.S. Citizen, and serving in the Military will now allow you to commit crime?? You are suppose to be an example.
These guys fought for OUR country they should be allowed to come back to the USA, they NEVER should have been deported in the first place !! God Bless them for keeping the USA safe and free when they where all in the military!
Unfortunately yes! Lots of these citizenship soldiers were in gangs before & after being recruited into the military & yes our government knows fully what they are doing to destabilize America because this is their plot. Politicians like hillary think this way.
He deserves a chance. Evil that men doth do live long after them. The good often interred with their bones. We’ve forgotten, “Don’t ask for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee.” When Americans as the leader of the free world lose their humanity, how can we expect other nations not to throw theirs in the garbage as well. We’re better than this, I hope. 🙏 Thank you, sir, for not losing your humanity.
If you serve my country by joining the military you deserve citizenship you have protected my country and my people when you were not you had sacrificed everything to protect my people you are a United States citizen thank you for your service for your continued battle we will begin to fight
This is heartbreaking, you serve the country you want to live in, literally putting your life on the line only to get deported over something petty. It's pretty close to sending them to their deaths. Life in Mexico is rough. Even if they were from somewhere else aside from Mexico, they chose to come here and serve our country and the thank you they get is a kick in the butt and sent right back to where they never wanted to return to. On another note those who earn that citizenship do need to understand that when they commit a crime of any kind, they pay for it a lot more than those of us born here. I hope the ones serving now don't end up going through this. Cause this is a really sad reality for those who've been deported.
Why do people think my government owes me??...I chose to serve it was me my My decision to sacrifice...I was not force it was all me....I can only thank my country for trusting me with the most secret responsibility in holding the line...the freedom line...I dont need nothing in return I feel privileged for being allow to defend the most powerful, Greatest Country God as ever produce and if allowed I would do it again and again until...........Thank you for allowing me to serve. This is so sad that it can not be any more sadness. It is a shame and sadness when our citizens become only a number and nothing more for our government. As much I can see, we be came just the number on the paper, or better yet the workmanship tool. It is interesting that our children are under age to buy cigarettes before the age of eighteen, but they are old enough to send them on front line with seventeen years of age. Is not it sad that when they finish the job, they will be thrown away as trash ??????
Ohhhh Ado the victim! We almost cried after reading your manifesto about victimization. Although we didn't cry because of the failed message you tried to convey, but your poor grasp of grammar.Approximately 65,000 immigrants serve in the armed forces. More than two-thirds (43,000) of the foreign born serving in the armed forces are naturalized citizens. 240 of them committed crimes, have been jailed and deported. If you don't like it stay in Mexico where you will share your mentality with your peers.
Col. Scott Dude you have got to be some kind of evil for the many comments. They were not trying to kick them out when they were fighting for this country. Just got used and sent away. SO OTHER PEOPLE CAN JOIN THE ARMED SERVICES COMMIT CRIMES AND GET TO STAY AND BS AND BE AS SCUMMY AS THEY WANT, BUT, LET THE PERSON BE USED BY THE ARMED FORCES AND THEY GET THROWN AWAY. YEAH NO BENEFIT IN SERVING AND ANYONE'S WAR.
You were not good at logic in college. I mean if you ever were. 230 out of 43,000 foreign born vets committed crimes and were deported as what they are CRIMINALS. If you commit crimes in any law enforcement agency you pay a punishment according to the offense and circumstances of your case. We don't want criminals and many of us are good with it.
Col. Scott So, just play with his right to be here even though you have many actual Americans who do much worse, this is just a disgusting pick and choose what you want and who you want that's all.
I'm a combat veteran and i hate to say it but he broke the law and he has to pay the consequences. He knew better and he took the risk , he's not a child and he's paying for it.
You commit a crime pay the price. The have all the opportunities offered to become citizens and dont do it. having served does not give you the right to violate the laws and think you can get away with it.
As an American and as a veteran, I am appalled to see this happen. Anyone who has served in the military, in Any war or armed conflict knows how it was when we returned to the States. We were debriefed as to what we coud talk about, and what we couldn't, then sent home for a couple of days to reunite with our families. We were expected to return to our pre war duties as if nothing had happened. Most veterans suffered from some ptsd ranging from mild to severe, but were not offered Any help. Many turned to alcohol(I did), or drugs, or got into fights or engaged in risky behavior to cope with ptsd symptoms we did not understand. It is not surprising, for me to see these men having been arrested for drug offenses. What I find totally appalling, is that the United States did not ask too many question( obviously) when these men enlisted and went to war For the USA., but because they were arrested for non violent felonies(drug use), determined to not be legal US citizens, they were deported. To me, these men's service in the military, during a war, on OUR behalf, should make them able to be naturalized citizens. They fought for YOU. Do American people really think that our freedom is FREE?
THE UNITED STATES MILITARY HAD NO BUSINESS ENLISTING UNDOCUMENTED FOREIGNERS INTO IT'S RANKS. SINCE THIS UNCONSTITUTIONAL PRACTICE HAVE BEEN GOING ON THE UNITED STATES MILITARY NOW HAS OVER 45% OF IT'S COMBATANTS ARE NON CITIZEN FOREIGNERS. I BELIEVE THE REASON THIS PRACTICE WAS ALLOWED TO GO ON UNDER THE LAST 3 PRESIDENTS BECAUSE THE ELITES OF THIS NATION NEEDED SOLDIERS THAT WILL NOT THINK TWICE IN SHOOTING LEGAL UNITED STATES CITIZENS UPON A MASS INSURRECTION.
mas360 Hate the people are addictive to drugs, and I hate we have drug dealers, but it’s unfortunate on both sides. I thank God no one in my immediate family, caught up.

I am not blaming these individuals but if you served in the military then you should know this because it’s drilled into our heads by the military:
“You are responsible for your own actions.”
the thing is the military wont care about most veterans, citizen or not man.
@mVP As it should be . You come here illegally , expect to be exploited for being stupid in the first place .
Welcome to the divided state's of America, good enough to defend but not good enough to be American citizens, these families would have been stressed out while their loved ones were fighting and wondering if they'd see them again, then when they're deported the stress
gets worse, children growing up without fathers, wives without husbands,
the government would have known these peoples status before they sent them off to war,the land of the free, yet the very people who help you keep your freedom are treated as second class citizens, what a joke.

No you know what I enlisted in the U.S. Marines and had a green card at the time and I CLEARLY REMRMBER THE RECRUITER TELLING ME THAT ENLISTING DID NOT MEAN CITIZENSHIP TO THE UNITED STATES.
US has to maintain an image of itself and discipline its army
tockmgal, many don't commit any crimes at all except coming illegally as children.
How about a Mexican whom served and survive the real wars of North Korea and Vietnam. 2 different wars for America and still deported purple heart and all. SMH and that's how u feel about our military?

A green card holder. After 3 years of service you can apply for citizenship.

OK, let's stop guessing. THIS comes RIGHT off the DHS website:
Naturalization through One Year of Qualifying Service During “Peacetime”
Generally, a person who has served honorably in the U.S. armed forces at any time may be eligible to apply for naturalization under section 328 of the INA. The military community sometimes refers to this as “peacetime naturalization.”
In general, an applicant for naturalization under Section 328 of the INA must:
Be age 18 or older
Have served honorably in the U.S. armed forces for at least 1 year and, if separated from the U.S. armed forces, have been separated honorably

Be able to read, write, and speak basic English
Have a knowledge of U.S. history and government (civics)
Have been a person of good moral character during all relevant periods under the law
Have an attachment to the principles of the U.S. Constitution and be well disposed to the good order and happiness of the U.S. during all relevant periods under the law
Have continuously resided in the United States for at least five years and have been physically present in the United States for at least 30 months out of the 5 years immediately preceding the date of filing the application, UNLESS the applicant has filed an application while still in the service or within 6 months of separation. In the latter case, the applicant is not required to meet these residence and physical presence requirements.
Naturalization through Qualifying Service during Periods of Hostilities
Generally, members of the U.S. armed forces who serve honorably for any period of time (even 1 day) during specifically designated periods of hostilities (see below) are eligible for naturalization under section 329 of the INA through such military service.
In general, an applicant for naturalization under INA 329 must:
Have served honorably in active-duty status, or as a member of the Selected Reserve of the Ready Reserve, for any amount of time during a designated period of hostilities and, if separated from the U.S. armed forces, have been separated honorably
Have been lawfully admitted as a permanent resident at any time after enlistment or induction, OR have been physically present in the United States or certain territories at the time of enlistment or induction (regardless of whether the applicant was admitted as a permanent resident)
There is no minimum age requirement for an applicant under this section. The designated periods of hostilities are:
April 6, 1917 to November 11, 1918
September 1, 1939 to December 31, 1946
June 25, 1950 to July 1, 1955

And he has anger issue . I think gmhe m along excuses to hide his gang banging life
I am retired from the Military.
That has nothing to do with double jeopardy. Read a book.

_We celebrated!_ 🍻
jdm ek, unfortunately it happens all too often
jdm ek Not true, I was in Iraq and I was encouraged by my leadership to apply while in country. You joined to change your life for the best, not to return to the old life left behind.

Southern Man exactly! He deserved. Sorry.
Oh Wow, why in the hell would we want a drug dealer? He could have become a US citizen. It was his choices that resulted in his current situation.
Use them and lose them is what I say. I rather have illegals dying instead of Americans. Fight for our military, get paid, then get deported safely back to your own country.
@@Keepskatin ok. Your an Idiot!!!!!!!!
Still, there are more veterans who get to keep their citizenship... Without any record of felony of course. Live responsibly.
@Blinda en serio
You are very wrong, even if a veteran didn’t commit a crime they will still get deported
Yesssssssss!!!
Im a veteran and I back all my brothers but he screwed up. Even citizens in the military who screw up pay the price. I wish him the best.
Serving in the armed forces doesn't release anyone from later criminality! You were rewarded for your good deeds and punished for your bad ones. Sounds fair!
Then put him in American jail, don't let him lay his life on the line for America and then kick him out. Sounds fair to me!! Right?
GREEN CARD
🤔Why didn’t they APPLY for their citizenship?

And in america where not white enough c'mon you need to go to all your AA meetings or its not gonna work
Hey Pat, He had the drugs more than likely because the medications assigned to his PTSD has little to no affect so like most veterans unfortunately, he attempts to self -medicate.
Part of completing the enlistment should be citizenship.
and having a kilo of cocaine to your name....his mother is the enabler...half of the american people love the military in fact they love voluntarily joining the military, the other half of the american people don't have the stomach for wars and the whole military...so it depends who you encounter when you are trying to get justice, the outcome could be different...if you listen carefully to the commentator he never refers to these deportees as fighting for the USA instead he, the commentator, says that they were fighting for the USA INTERESTS...which is totally different than "fighting for our freedom" i believe they were fighting for their own interests and the interests of the USA....

Well said
Its just the sustem been cunning.

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who didn’t feel bad for them.
When you have PTSD it effects us all differently. Some of us turn to alcohol or drugs to make the pain go away. I don't know what type of support they may have had, but all Vets need to pull together. It does not matter when we served or if we saw combat but we must become One.
Anyone fighting for this country should be granted immediate citizenship upon completion of 1 tour.
they have lawyers in military to help them file and they get discounts too on application
and AFN have commercials encouraging them to apply
NO EXCUSE
they are given many chances to complete the citizenship process there where no excuses should have done his homework
WRONG!
Hell no
See, thats the problem now.
Why would you serve a country that does not belong to you, and then carry illegal weapons. Blows my mind
these people finally realize how good it is being here in the US. They do no need to be here to make it, they can do it in their own County. They had the chance already and, they messed up.
THIS COUNTRY HAS EARNED THEIR HATE FROM THESE PEOPLE..
@Xattack21 1 i mean that is like one or 2 countries and dont people dont care care it was shown a a war on terrorist
These people should clean up their country so they don't have to flee it.
So . . . Stay out!
@linda B Nice try, globalist.
Bring our Veterans back to the USA. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Respect our laws and they would still be in OUR COUNTRY.
While he was in the Army he should have apply for citizenship. His Commander and immediate supervisor should have push him to do so.
Cj Johnson And sell drugs again , carry illegal guns? Maybe He should come back and move into your home.
bob See He fought so that YOU can be FREE in America dude or does that mean nothing to you???? I guess it dont huh!
Bob "SEE" jack shit. look up vet stats troglodyte. see what our boys come back to you ignorant judgmental fuck.
Cj Johnson you missed the point. he needed to apply still!
Cj Johnson I am a service connected disabled veteran, born in U.S.A. WHY should he get better benefits than me as you see he is a gangsta!
Sound like he was becoming MS-13 member.
Unfortunately yes! Lots of these citizenship soldiers were in gangs before & after being recruited into the military & yes our government knows fully what they are doing to destabilize America because this is their plot. Politicians like hillary think this way.
He simply couldn’t escape the thug life.
Well being a Vietnam veteran myself 78 years old being soft-hearted I think some of these guys deserve a second chance
I agree some people definitely deserve another chance.
Yes please a second chance ❤️ we all make mistakes
@@gloriagarcia1996 hopefully the president will look into this
He deserves a chance.
I feel for these men who served this country. It is a shame that this is happening. My prayers are with you guys.
Just because a man serves in the military doesn’t give you a free get out of jail card! Don’t do the crime if you don’t want to do the TIME!
Retired
1SG Army Ranger, All the way my Brothers n sisters.
I had a co-worker from the Philippines who signed up, got her degree with the GI Bill and married a Navy man. So she worked it and got her citizenship.
So u can fight for America but not be welcome to America?
This guy was selling drugs to your kids, armed.
Only if you then become a drug dealer and stupid enough not to apply for US citizenship before getting caught.
Follow the rules and file your papers.
@Elena Timofte AT LEAST PRESIDENT TRUMP "LOVES HIS COUNTRY". DO YOU? FOOL AMERICAN, you don't have any idea what fascist means. Listening to your Hym maybe your love for your country can grow up.
Deport his mom too.
Why would a non-American criminal be allowed in the U.S. millitary?
JOIN A CARAVAN TO CALIFORNIA.
It's sad that this happened but facts don't add up. Either way, blame Obama.
Metallkopf86 Obama started it
I'm a combat veteran and i hate to say it but he broke the law and he has to pay the consequences. He knew better and he took the risk , he's not a child and he's paying for it.
You were lied to, you weren't aUS citizen you don't have the same rights.if you have anyone to blame blame your mom.
kayline bourgeois oh wow, you must have worked really hard to have been born a US citizen.
They earn it. They served with honor. If they made mistakes after serving, it just hurts to see how we have left them behind.
No Body Above The Law!
You commit a crime pay the price. The have all the opportunities offered to become citizens and dont do it. having served does not give you the right to violate the laws and think you can get away with it.
Ps You also swore that oath to uphold the constitution. But you assist the coyotes with illegals???????
U DO EXPECT SOME LEEWAY IF U PUT UR LIFE ON THE LINE
Yes stupid !
Nope. He only joined to learn how to be a killer.
This has to be stopped. There is no reason to do that. If he has to pay to society, it should be here in the USA.
Yea half of them are entitled and spoiled
Sammy once said, "Don't do the crime, if you can't do the time (don't do it)"
You earn USA citizenship with good conduct, always .
I feel very sorry for these men who put their lives on the line for America, we have to do better, we can do this.
mas360 Hate the people are addictive to drugs, and I hate we have drug dealers, but it’s unfortunate on both sides. I thank God no one in my immediate family, caught up.
mas360 I understand our country have laws
so much for brotherhood
Im a disabled Vet..to take OUR OATH for the military without being a citizen should be JAIL TIME ! he obviously served our country under FALSE PRETENSES so he deserves to be deported
DURING WW1 AND WW2 - MANY PEOPLE FAUGHT FOR DIFFERENT COUNTRIES - THAT DID NOT MAKE THEM AUTOMATIC CITIZENS - SO APPLY LIKE EVERYONE ELSE
😂
