Balance beads are awesome mate I've been running them for 2 years now in a 35 inch Yokohama, We've done my GF's car with balance beads too. Honestly if you don't like em then my guess is they weren't done properly. They take a second to sort themselves out on the freeway but as soon as your speed levels out they are great. Issue with conventional weights is as soon as you see a speck of mud then your automatically out of balance again. Not great for 4x4's. Balance beads effectively compensate for the mud you pick up while offroad! Comfortable drive home from the bush 🤙
Found they were great for a little while then seemingly did fuck all. I calculated and weighed the beads too. But agree that once mud sticks to a conventionally balanced rim it’s on the piss again. Can’t win.
For tire beads to work, you have to toss the set up on a balance. Machine to find out how much to add in weight, then add them. The charts on the back of bead containers are a ballpark. Even then at low speeds, they're not working chopping your tires. For what a set of tires cost nowadays, it isn't worth cheaping out and letting something dumb wreck them
A tyre place put beads in mine and ended up with wheel shake at about 55-60. Looked at everything that cause wheel shake and all parts were good, went to another tyre place and he said tyres weren't balanced correctly he pulled the beads out and fitted stick on wheel weights to the inside off my rims. The shake was gone instantly and he said with 4wds he allways puts the weights on the inside of the rims as they can get knocked off when using the clip on weights on the outside
I run them 24/7, and, as I'm sure most 4x4s do, they spend 90% of their life on the road. So yeah, it's worth talking about how they are on the road 👍#FlopCommentOfTheDay

Those rims and tyres are gonna be sick, but a polished outer ring is gonna get damaged
I couldn't imagine owning a 4x4 and worrying about damaged rims 🤣
Sunburned beige.
Good news you don’t need those on the street just the stockers with a/t. Then you can smoke those who call themselves street racers. Remember, 800hp 😊

was that a real fart?!
No 😂
Clamping it from the inside 🙄 geee
So much to say. But.....
Why are beads bad?
They work via centrifugal force, which means under about 40kmh your wheels/tyres are not balanced which gives you a horrible ride

I love how you talk about treps on road. Considering they are for offroad use only. Good work clown
