I bought an Rmax4 1000 over 2 years ago and we ride all over Utah and it has been a fabulous machine that anyone can drive. We have ridden some very steep and technical trails and it has been flawless. The back seat has been converted into a bench with some padding and carpet so our dog can go everywhere with us. ❤. The carpet can be easily removed for additional riders.
I have a RZR XP1K. Do you feel like you gave up a lot of performance going to the RMAX? I’m more concerned with suspension and handling than power. We ride fast and hard on technical trails. I’m thinking about an RMAX4 if I change machines. Seems way nicer and better built than the RZR. Thanks.
Hey that's a very interesting question something I was actually going to address in a future video about the machine. But since you asked, One thing you have to keep in mind is the RMAX is an A ARM rear suspension No a arm suspension is going to handle the way a trailing arm suspension does That's the type of setup an xp1000 has. 2 totally different designs. If you ride fast through the trails and you want an RMAX I would suggest the two seat rmax because you get way more suspension travel in the rear but you're still not going to handle the way an XP1000 does imo. The four-seater has a big compromise because it loses several inches of rear suspension travel. Quality of the machine is way better than the RZR not even close. Technical trail riding it's awesome It climbs amazing and power steering is terrific. but if your style of riding is high speed and fast I would not suggest the rmax 4 seat
no cab heat. you can actually use the cup holders and not boil your drink. its actually amazing considering it is a mid engine car. nothing like the rzr or the krx. even my can am had more heat.
I would disagree with you in sport mode it's faster than the talon that I've driven and the KRX 1000. Yamaha's did not published horsepower but experts have said it's in the 110 to 112 horsepower range.
@@peterpann9619 I'm telling you you'll be more than happy with it I don't know what type of machine you're coming from but this thing has got plenty of power and that's from me coming from a turbo machine I have zero disappointment.
Well they have a separate oil reservoir easy to drain holds 3 quarts engine holds about 1 quart oil cooler oil runs a lot cooler worth the effort everything else is simple under hood
Yamaha actually sells a second battery kit however it does not include the battery. Lol it's a battery box wires and a switch that keeps you main battery from being used other than for just starting. It locates the second battery under the driver's side seat There's a huge cavernous space where your subwoofer would mount and is also room for the second battery You don't necessarily need the Yamaha kit You can probably piece that together yourself much cheaper. And thank you so much for subscribing really appreciate it I hope you enjoy the content!

Great machines for sure!
Same as my Wolverine 850x2...this is what puts Yamaha ahead of all others
I didn't know that thanks for pointing that out! You're 100% correct yamaha's got it all figured out as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for watching!
If I buy another side-by-side it is going to be R-Max hands-down.
Its a really nice machine! 2 seater is even better.
@@OdysseyOffroad I would get the two seater now because my kids are older.
I love my Yamaha Wolverine.
Thanks so much for the detailed vid this is great info
glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching, more to come on the rmax!

I have a Rzr and a Yamaha 1000 Rmax 4 and the Yamaha is built alot better
You're missing the radiator cap plastic cover door.
Nope i have it it just popped off.
How’s the inside cab heat when riding? The rzr engine runs so hot I feel like I’m in a oven

The tunnel is insulated it’s very good minimum heat
What is the metal box front center right do? I have an XTR and don't have that box.
The black box? I believe that's the stereo amp
What's the module to the left of the radiator fill? 4 bolts holding it, My machine doesn't have that.
The smooth one just to left of the radiator cap is the main ecu.
I was wondering about the radio thank you
I've addressed the radio and the quality of it in a few other videos It's very good quality radio.
I love the machine but it really does need at least 120 hp

So did you get rid of the Polaris?
Yes
With all the fault they put into that looks like they would have made a better way to change oil without having so many plugs and being so aggravated
Haha agree

Holy crap , engine location in middle. Deal breaker for me
Deal breaker for some i get that but very reliable machine and that is worth its weight in gold.
Engine is behind the cab like Polaris canam

Thank you for your videos and couldn't agree more. Front full brush guard is the best accessory I added to our RMAX4 .LE
