- In this video we take a Tesla Model S 90D up to Scotland and then travel the North Coast 500 Route around the tip of the highlands. This is an awesome route and we did it in an EV!

That would be the road for a leisurely drive. You were right at the beginning when you said you felt like you were on your way to Mordor! I expected to see some weird character from the evil army to appear. Instead you get a solidary Highland cow! Oh and the 'locals' that refused to give directions LOL. Lovely scenery even in February. Thanks for sharing.

I did it a few years ago in my ice. It's a great route and I had 4 days of sunshine too in the back end of August. West coast of Scotland has the best scenery in Britain, a must for anyone a fan of a road trip. This year I did the outer Hebrides getting a hopscotch ferry ticket through calmac ferries leaving Oban to Barra then up through the uists to Harris and Lewis.
I live in Edinburgh and going to do it in my leaf, I'm based in Woodbridge so I normally have to do a 390 mile trip home, so I'm use to long trips. Haha.brilliant video guys thanks for making it. 👍
Did it last year in a A3, going back in September to do it again in my focus ST. Can't come soon enough.

Did the NC500 this year in May in my Skoda Yeti, fantastic drive, amazing views, really enjoyed it. Just about to replace the Yeti with an Enyaq (delivery in a few days exciting!) and I was hoping to do the route again. The amount of EV chargers we saw on our journey makes me think it's better now for an EV than it was for you guys then.

Yeah but we'd have had to drive to Edinburgh for 9 for that! Autopilot from Manchester is much more fun!

For us during January (special offer) it was £149 per day all in. Normal price is now £179 per day for the S. WhiteCar. Bear in mind we did 1,400 miles for £0 it's not too bad.

Epic video - tempted myself. Just on range anxiety - didn't see that many petrol pumps let alone chargers!
There were plenty of pumps tbh. It's only 500 miles so you'd only need 1 fill up after leaving Inverness.

The tesla has a glass roof ouch comes to mind! Amazing scenery though and great vid to go with it
Hi guys, i'm a belgian fellow with a Tesla model S 100D and want to do a road trip thru Scotland, including the NC 500. My question, what apps or cards would you recommend to recharge, since the last supercharger is in Aviemore...and even a 100D cannot do the miles needed to complete the NC500 ;-) . I assume i can't just show up in John 'o Groats or Durness and use a destination charger there, like you guys did. Can you give me some recommendations?

Not with the reliability of the charge networks. Plus it's 380miles just to get there.
Just have to hope that the reliability improves, when you're ready to do the trip again.
Make sure you miss the rocks p.s. locks are found indoors and canals in Scotland we have Loch Lomond not lock lomond, i dont go to your Lake District and call it the lick District just because i cant be bothered to pronounce it properly come on its not Chinese .
In Yorkshire it is pronounced properly. That’s all that matters.

Just download the apps for them. Ecotricity, chargeyourcar, polar.
I believe that was actually a cow, rather then a bull. So it was her. My family used to own some Highland Cattle livestock back in a day. So I think I can spot the difference :)
There is a general misconception that only bulls have horns, and it is not true.
