- Riyad Mahrez struck a hat-trick as Manchester City secured a place in the FA Cup final with a 3-0 victory over Sheffield United at Wembley.
The win secured our place in the FA Cup final for the first time since 2019 and kept us in the chase for three trophies this season.

This is what I love about this guy, he sits on the bench without complaining. Then when it's time to shine, he shows his level. World class.
He reminds me of Lucas for Spurs. Never complains about being a benchwarmer, but when he comes on he can change everything. And yes i know Spurs sucks now, but all the times Lucas has saved Spurs is hard to count. And he gave Spurs their first CL-Final with his 2nd-half hattrick vs Ajax. Or Solskjaer for United, never complained once. Just delivered. The best clubs in the world needs those amazing professional bench-warmers, and now City probably got the best one. Such a rarity.

Not a haaland stan, but probably gonna sound like one. I just can't help but seriously commend the guy's character - extremely humble despite his calibre. You know he's fully confident he'll convert 80-90% of pens, but honours their internal agreement of 'taking turns' with em. You can just tell he cares more about the team winning, than him breaking records. And always celebrates everyone too. I just hope he isn't secretly weighed down or be less confident having missed one recently. Same sentiment with alvarez, such accurate corners, what humble world class strikers. Blessing.
Also happy to see walker, laporte, sergi , and kalvin feature. They were probably given instructions of a more passive play to get into rhythm. I hope they get to improvement levels of ake soon. maybe more of max as well next season, he's great. Gundo and bernardo worked OT, so glad they're not injury prone 🥺

Awesome for Riyad to have such a big game! He's such a great servant to Manchester City. A team player, who doesn't start drama. Just performs when he's called upon. Ortega made some quality saves early. Nice to have 2 goalkeepers who can be relied upon. Pep gave the game the respect it warranted. And still was able to rest & rotate key players. Game was slow paced. Which also helped the players who've been playing a lot. Credit to Sheffield United. They acquitted themselves well. Good to advance past the FA Cup semifinals. Has been a bogey game for City in recent years. Nice for Foden to get some minutes. Unfortunate that Ake picked up an injury. Does anyone have an update on Nathan's status?? Well done men!
