    So before I get bashed in the comments for doing it wrong/using the wrong string etc... This is a non-professional tutorial meant for home/DIY use only, and should in no way be used as a guide for how to do it in critical applications like the spacecraft you might be building! 😉

    What keeps the knots from sliding along the wires? Does securing the ends to something (besides the wire) at the ends of the wire stop the knots from sliding along the wires?

      Just friction, ideally you'd use wax coated lacing cord because the wax makes it slightly sticky and prevents things from sliding. Except in spacecraft I read they can't use the wax coated stuff since paraffin sublimates in a vacum
