A saw a few people kept asking so I thought I’d leave this comment. The show is called Noughts & Crosses and you can watch it on channel 4 or BBC iplayer if you’re in the uk! If you’re elsewhere then you may be able to find it on movies123 or another similar site, but if possible watch it from channel 4 or iplayer so that it’s more likely to get a second season, plus it deserves the recognition! The show is also based off Malorie Blackman’s book series by the same name (Noughts & Crosses) and I would definitely recommend everyone to read the books as they’re just as awesome!♥️
I read this book as a teen and felt so many things! I would love to watch it, a great story.

It's about an alternative history where European people were the ones who have a history of slavery and subjugation, and takes place in a sort of Jim Crowe segregation stage of their lives. People of color are the upper class (called Crosses) while people with paler skin (called naughts) are second class citizens. A black girl, Persephone (Sephy) is the daughter of a wealthy politician, and grows up playing with a white boy, Callum, who is the son of Sephy's nanny. They're friends, but as they grow up, they realize that society doesn't accept their friendship. From there, it's a sort of Romeo & Juliet esq story, but with some racially charged rebellion and terrorism.

I couldn't finish the first episode, I'm so happy that they made this into a TV show but the book's we're so much better. This edit is as amazing as the books.
